  1. Pretty much how I feel. Considering some circumstances, I'm pretty content. I'm cool stealing points now while they find their game so they don't have to claw in April.

  3. Sure, but there's a way to exercise that clause that doesn't give the impression that you're "quitting on your team."
  4. Drury probably took issue with the fact that Kravtsov waited until several games into the Wolfpack season to exercise his European assignment clause. He accepted the assignment to Hartford and bailed when it wasn't to his liking. He could've always gone straight back to Russia.
  5. Best OT game I’ve ever seen. Shesty was phenomenal. Hunt-Rooney-Reaves was fantastic in the 3rd period.
  6. Hayton was injured for most of preseason. He was sent down to give hime more of a runway to make the lineup. He's not going to be int he AHL for very long.

  8. Yeah it’s always frustrating that higher difficulties just mean the AI becomes superhuman instead of just playing tighter systems. That’s why I’ve come to prefer online where I’m playing mostly users.
  9. I'm expecting that people will complain that keepingpossession is too difficult.

  11. Gameplay wise the new one might be the closest thing to a real hockey game. The new physics make contact and puck play so much more dynamic and realistic. Goals seem to occur far more off of scrums and deflections as opposed to the same snap shots. Shooting and poke checking have been nerfed to the point that skill ratings play big factors. Goalies are much sharper now but give up five hole goals they wouldn't before and live pucks in the crease tend to trickle through more. The only real downside right now is that the AI's positioning is pretty garbage. There are also a few annoying bugs that need to get sorted out. Overall, though, this game is a positive step for EA NHL. Hopefully they don't fuck up. Now they need to show the offline game modes some attention.
  12. It was aided by particularly fortuitous circumstances, though. Ryan Spooner's contract, which had some retention from the Rangers, being bought out by Vancouver gave the Rangers extra cap space in the 11th hour to up their contract offer.
  13. Their hulking defensemen were just getting hemmed everywhere across the ice. If it wasn't from getting flat footed by a poor activation, it was because a dump in allowed someone to get turnstiled. I liked that the defensemen were activating more than under Quinn, but they need to be selective about it. Guys like Tinordi, Nemeth, Trouba, etc. who can't skate well really should'n't be coming out of position, though. They're not getting covered for effectively.
  14. Yeah. They took three even strength shots in the second period. That's just sad.
  15. Hover over the username. It'll produce a dropdown and ignore is on the bottom right.
  16. Do you think we've been able to successfully watch games at get togethers? Half of us normally don't know what's going on by the end of the first intermission.
  17. Yeah, I'd be surprised if he plays even 10 games in Hartford. He'll be back very soon. By November 1st feels right.
