  1. But if it's not him getting 4-5-8 minutes, it's going to be Brodzinski. Meaning, who ever it is on that RW, is going to get very little icetime. Much like the RW on the Zibanejad line. All season, who ever is there is only getting 12-14 minutes a night and it was because that slot isn't getting PP minutes or PK. People tried to shit on Wheeler saying he could only be trusted with 12 minutes, but couldn't understand that he was playing in a role/spot that couldn't really get more ice unless they can do special teams. That spot on the roster isn't going to get more ice, unless they PK or play on the PP. Just like the 3rd forward on line 4 isn't going to get more than 8-10. Vesey and Goodrow get a majority of the icetime as PKers and they're in the 12 minutes range.
  2. Fubo stinks now. They have dumped SNY. So the thing that was to mainly be a sports platform for streaming, no longer carries essential networks for sports. But thank god they have music channels and no name sports networks that air fishing and bullshit.
  3. That's a bit rough. He's no worse of a hockey player than any typical 4th liner. He can play center, he can stand infront of the net, he can play hard hitting hockey within the rules. Players like him are guys that can flourish in the playoffs. Guys like Corey Perry have been excellent playoff performers in the post season. Just because he's not a skill guy, doesn't mean he's not good at hockey. He's good at what he's currently doing and he wants to do more. He could be a flash in the pan player who never has this momentum again. Lets ride this momentum and see how far it goes. Let's be real. Between Rempe, Roslovic and Brodzinski, I think the fit for playoff hockey is more in Rempes game than the others. As long as he doesn't play stupid, I go with Rempe until the wheels fall off.
  4. You'd think it would result in penalties. It doesn't seem to matter when it's the Rangers and the playoffs. Retaliation penalties seem to be what refs like to call. So, maybe the plan should be to hit them first. Set the pace. Let them react.
  5. Washington knows how to push the Rangers buttons. Wilson, Dowdy, Ovechkin and Oshie will be walking the line and hitting everyone in sight. Heck, they dressed Mcllrath in their last game (he owned Rempe in the A).. They can and will play ragged and go over the line. If the Rangers can play through that, it's a piece of cake. I think they can . With that said, Zibanejad and Panarin really need to play with their heads up and eyes on the back of their heads, but also take it to them and act like they like it. Don't back down. Don't let old men Oshie and Ovie knock you down a peg.
  6. Meh. Miller had a 40 point season last year, Kakko and Chytil had their best seasons. Schneider was a rookie and looked absolutely fantastic, earning the job over 2 vets... GG had Kreider at 50 goals the year prior and had Panarin playing great with Ryan Strome that year as well. I think a lot of the anti GG stuff is a bit exaggerated. He lost the room. He always loses the room. He's definitely not youth friendly with forwards, but he rolled with a very young D in Fox, Lindgren, Miller and Schneider. Let's not seriously disparage 2- 100 point seasons as if that can be done with anyone behind the bench. He did good enough for his time here, for how he coaches. Laviolette is just head and shoulders a better coach than GG and it shows in the product on the ice.
  7. Sam's going to go into a presidential alzheimers spell, then snap out of it thinking there was a brawl, when he sees all the players with no jerseys on.
  8. Sam- "Chabot. Mayyyybe related to Cabot cheese company. Joe, what do you think " Joe- "Shut..... UP".
  9. They're trying to feed Panarin so he can get closer to 50 goals. Gonna happen all night
  10. Fox is back to where you should expect him to be. Elite level.
  11. Kappo Slasho, has been really careless with his stick lately. Fuckin kid still hasn't figured out how to use his stick.
  12. Right the ship. They are playing looser than @josh's mom.
  13. To cute with the puck. Cut that shit out. North! NORTH! Trouba seems to have legs tonight.
  14. I think he'd be way more effective on a lower line. His speed is impressive and it could be used better in a defensive type role, or matched with more grit oriented players. I'd rather see him center line 3 than Wennberg, who I feel is incredibly vanilla.
  15. Dennis Vial for trivia. Panarin with a hatty to get 51 Rempe moves up to Zibanejad line Miller fights Tkachuk Cuylle +2 Roslovic gets a game misconduct for boarding Lindgren gets 2 more breakaways. Crazy back and forth hockey The corpse of Korpisalo is left in the crease even after he gets chased from the game. "We want the cup" chant starts in the 2nd period Siddious is seen on TV pounding $20 beers in his "executive" seats, because he's acting like a boss.
  16. The core is pretty much the same as last year and the year prior.... Why does the year prior get swept under the rug in terms of showing they are gamers? They went to the ECF and dragged every team they played into long series. How haven't they proven that they are gamers? You'll point to last seasons collapse against the Devils as a recent gauge for platlyoffs. But, that series was a PP extravaganza. I wish people would stop saying the refs put the whistles away in the playoffs. It just isn't true anymore Game 1- 10 total penalties Game 2- 25 total penalties Game 3- 10 total penalties Game 4- 5 total penalties Game 5- 14 total penalties Game 6- 9 total penalties Game 7- 7 total penalties There were a bunch of misconduct in game 2 and a couple in game 6. The PP is not going to be taken out of the equation. If the Rangers play their game, they should be able to draw penalties. The Rangers inability to get in these nobody goalies heads is frustrating. Smid just had their number and the Devils benefited from quite a few posts hit by Panarin. This just happens. I honestly feel like there was some turmoil behind the scenes and the Gallant/Drury yelling match scenario, was something that ran deeper than we are in the know about. Trocheck was also seen talking back to Gallant on the bench. I'm speculating that Gallant lost the room and it wasn't just because the room "just wanted to be coached" What "it" was could be anything from interference from Drury, to too many new faces that took over the room. I'm not expecting a dominant run from this team. But I sure as shot think they have as good of a chance as everyone else. On a level ice, and no favoritism from the league and refs. There's no team that scares me to the point that I think the Rangers don’t stand a chance. I feel like (unlike Gallant teams), this team can lose a game or 2, then adjust and figure it out with a game plan. I get the pessimism. I'm a Mets fan and a Rangee fan. I bleed pessimism. I just don't get how people are so dismissive about the coaching change. Hopefully, you're wrong.
