Big FUCK YOU to MSG. This time of year, stuck in the office and can't watch until after 4/15. Knicks bump Rangers to 1050, which is pretty much 2 tin cans and string. You would think the Rangers' app would give you a good stream, but MSG, as they did Tuesday on the Rangers' app has ESPN 98.7 carrying.... the Knicks broadcast. Also Tuesday night cut Rangers broadcast short for ...tennis for God knows where while MSG the Ocho carried a full Isles psotgame for another half hour. They have the best team in the NHL and habitually treat their fans like shit. Not bad enough we have 2 announcers rooting for the other team when they're not making a mess of the call. Can't even listen.

Other than when Dave Maloney, Lundqvuist and Boyle are working, the MSG broadcasts are a dumpster fire. The 2 senile guys are rooting for the other team. The defensive play of the game was Adam Pulock. They barely have any idea what's going on. We get the 1st period reading of the press notes and recounting of the imaginary conversations Sam had with the opposing coach that never happened. These guys have been collecting SSI for a while; they're fuckin' bald and gray, which is okay, it happens to everyone. But hair architecture pretending otherwise is beyond ridiculous. Postgame,MSG2 cut to a tennis tournament while MSG the Ocho had an extended Isle postgame including Roy's postgame. Lots of people whining about Valiquette, personally, no issue. Was better when they had Duguay, but Hank and Boyle are very good. But the play by play has to change. For fuck's sake, give the oldsters a nice sendoff and give us Dave Maloney and Kenny Albert next season and be done with this shit. This current product sucks. MSG has the best team in the NHL playing in their building and treat them like an afterthought. MSG covers Knicks bowel movements and lunch orders exahaustively, Rangers treated like shelter dogs.

Doesn't matter. What they do in the playoffs matters. Team blew 2-0 series leads 2 years running. It's hard to do statistically, 2 years back to back, fosters doubt. Could blame Gallant for not having a plan, but again, details. It's why they're getting no respect right now. Gallant what ever his failings wasn't on ice for that, these core guys were. Last night, even against a weak sister, was very positive. Didn't get frustrated by a young goalie styming them for 30 minutes, and then their big guns did the job. Panarin is a beast, Laffy is a player, Troceck a great season, Kreider and Mika appear to be waking up; all good. Like to think the Devils series last May plays out very differently with Laviolette, but that's hopeful speculation. Do know when they get a lead this season they go 1-3-1 alot, even if it's not 100% foolproof. Larry Brooks and everyone elese can write articles all day celebrating crybaby Crosby and badmouthing Ovechkin. It's details that don't matter . 16 wins. Starting in about 2 weeks throught summer. That's it.

My nephew was HS hockey teammates with a guy who was the "best around" and has now bounced around low juniors a couple of D1 teams. And my son played with and against players in D2 football that got NFL tryouts and bounced around the various other leagues. It's a really cutthroat thing to get into pro sports. And hard for a kid to put down the dream and start to adult. KR for the Saints, Deonte Harty, played against my son's D2 team. Looked like he had a different gear than anyone else on the field. Scouting report is that he had returned some record number of kicks for TDs. Special teams coach for my son's team is like "We're gonna stop him". Harty returns opening kickoff for TD. Specials team coach then says "Fuck it; We're kickng the ball out of bounds every kickoff".
