  1. Either of the first two will make the difference. We handed them this game, so we have one more chance to make this a series. We NEED to stop the shell game in the 3rd. If we play the 3rd like we played the first two periods, we win. On top of that, put the puck in the damn net. Kakko had a wide open net and so did Chytil. We cannot keep missing golden opportunities and still expect to win.
  2. Even regular season tickets are going through the roof. I remember just a few years ago, I went to a Blue Jackets game in Columbus and I got 2nd row behind the glass for $72 each. Same seats at the harder were $3-400. This was when Columbus was a playoff team and the Rangers weren’t. While this kind of thing does happen around the league, they really do not happen to the extreme that Dolan does it.
  3. Not a false narrative in the least. Copp is better on face offs, solid D and as we are seeing, meshes with Panarin just fine(he’s only been here less than a month too). Look at his stats from just the time here(8/10/+14) to see how well he is fitting in.
  4. I think Copp was brought in not only for his talent but because, like many of us, Drury isn’t sold on Strome. I certainly am not sold on Strome. He takes stupid penalties and IMO is a liability at times that happens to score goals, being fed by Panarin. However, Panarin’s talent mesh with others as well, as we have seen with Copp. I would much rather keep Copp around that Strome. The problem is, Copp is probably going to command more than we can really offer. On Valtrano, I think we could keep him if we want, but that’s up to Drury.
  5. Huh? It’s been the Hockey Central trade show since 10am on the NHL Network.
  6. You’ve got Pitt right there and that’s without Malkin and Columbus is better this year too. Also, don’t count out the Isle yet. We are only a qtr through the season. LONG way to go.
  7. As mentioned, still a threat when look at the Wild Card. In such a tough division, we always have to make sure we have a WC spot covered.
  8. I give him all the credit because… A) He added a much more simplified system, with PUCK SUPPORT(something we were severely lacking in with Quinn). But we still have a ways to go to get it right B) He has continued to go with Sheshterkin(Georgiev has made the choice easy though) C) He’s not afraid at making bold line choices that Quinn would never do. And the line changes seem to be working. D) He is instilling a confidence in this team, something I haven’t seen since the early days of Vineault. E) He has finally gotten Krieder to play to his potential and show up every night. F) While we have blown some leads, we have also won some games we shouldn’t have Whether is Be Sheshterkin or finding a way to get that late go ahead goal, it’s still wins that we weren’t getting in years past. IMO, with Quinn, we would be right there with Philly in points right now.
  9. Then don’t have a double standard when it comes to making the team either. He was better than those two but because he has waiver clearance and the other two don’t, down he goes, regardless of whether he played better.
  10. It IS a head game. You tell the kid to earn a spot, he does and plays better than those two(heck Gauthier is/was injured too). BUT sorry, we don’t wanna lose those two marginal players to waivers, so down you go go anyway. That is the definition of playing head games.
  11. So again, why do we keep Gauthier around other than the fear of losing him to the waiver wire? Get rid of him and keep Kravtsov here. I’d much rather not play head games with a kid who has played well and has a lot more potential than a player like Gauthier.
  12. I don’t blame him one bit this time. He played well during the preseason and should be here. We have to stop playing games because we fear losing a marginal player like Gauthier or Hunt to waivers. Get Kravstov up here and put someone on waivers. If you lose them, you lose them.
  13. Depends. I personally think there has, but it will take a bit if time for Gallant to really get to know these guys before they make the call.
  14. At this point, just move on(which IMO Drury has already done). Too much risk, too much money and too much to give up. It's just not worth it.
  15. The problem is they boxed themselves in badly with the Krieder and Trouba deals. It’s too much money to be spending on talent that is either stagnant or digressing. You can sit on all this money but what does it REALLY accomplish? Nothing because once you sign all those people, you STILL haven’t really improved the team. You are still essentially the same team that didn’t make the playoffs. You hope the likes of Kakko and LaFreniere and some others really step up their game, but IMO, you are still missing a major cog(what that cog is, is to be determined). And that major cog will require money. What they need to be doing is looking to move at least one of either Krieder or Trouba and get some of that money back off the books, I order to have money to actually improve the team. 16. While I agree they maybe should have gotten more, I think a lot of the league knows he is soft when a physical game is played. Many of his points came against soft teams and when going against teams like the Isles, he all but disappeared. Add the fact that he will command a good penny as an RFA, we got in return, closer to what he is actually worth. As a buddy of mine put it, if he plays with Taresenko, he may put up 50/60pts and maybe 30 goals, but he does not play, nor is he built to handle the playoff style of hockey, which is what this team really needs. 17. Agreed. They need to stop sitting around and hire the guy before anyone else(Columbus) jumps in. I know they want to see what happens with first round firings but IMO, the only one I would want from a first round firing is Sullivan from Pitt, which I don’t see happening anyway, even if they are bounced tomorrow. If it’s not him, then get Gallant and move forward. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  18. Based on who is out there, I want Gallant. Thankfully they were smart enough to retain Allaire. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  19. Hopefully you will be waiting a LONG time as in never. Just say NO to Torts. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  20. I don’t think Torts is in the cards. He was unceremoniously punted by management/Dolan after a 2nd round loss. Between Dolan not being keen on it and Torts probably not wanting to deal with Dolan again, I can’t see it happening. I think it remains to be seen S to who is net depending on who gets let go after the season. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  21. That has to do with what he is given. He got leftovers from poor draft after poor until about 2018. Look at Hartford this year. I haven’t checked today, but a couple/few days ago they were a win from the division title. I’m not saying Drury is right for the job but as I see it, I was 95% behind firing Gorton as he built us on too many weak European players who are not physical. But JD? No way. My only reasoning is he laid down the gauntlet and said if you fire Gorton, you may as well fire me. And the arrogant ass Dolan obliged. I just pray we don’t make any stupid reactionary trades during the summer. But with Dolan probably pulling Drury’s strings, unfortunately, I think it is inevitable. 22. Every time I see that video(just showed it on NBCSN), how Parros can say there wasn’t enough evidence of hair pulling, is laughable. If Panarin was pushed his head would have snapped forward. But is head snapped BACKWARDS when he was going/pulled down. Pretty obvious to just about everyone else except Parros. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
  23. I agree. I think Sather has been in Dolan’s ear and made this happen. I look for Drury to simply be Dolan’s puppet and for some dumb*ss trades/signings to happen this summer. On a side note, I’d love to see Sam and Joe step down too just to give the finger to Dolan. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
