  1. The UFA class for centers is terrible. Bergeron would have been an ideal choice, but he already said Boston or retire. Goroux isn’t much different at this stage and he had already nixxed any trade here so he wouldn’t come anyway. Kadri is going to get 8-9M long term. Malkin wouldn’t come. Trocheck is literally the last option in spitting distance of Strome. He’ll probably cost as much or more than Strome.
  2. I’m with you here in that I think it’s imperative that if they get this to 7, the lines need to be jumbled to make it harder for Carolina to match up. I mean they just shut the Zib line down so well. I would almost separate Kreider and Zibanejad. Spread the wealth even more. Carolina choose would still have to focus Zibanejad, but it gets Kreider away from it. 13-93-72 10-16-21 20-18-77 Make. Them. Choose
  3. Kakko on the 4th line with Rooney and Reavo turns that into the slowest line in the playoffs. He can’t be on the 4th again. Either move him back up or bench him. Kakko isn’t high on the list to blame for last night’s loss, but he’s high up the list why the Rangers lost G1. He was drafted 2OA to help us win games and he certainly hasn’t been doing a good job of that for 3 years. Settling for a 2OA being only middle of the pack in reasons we lost a game is such a Rangers fan thing to resort to. We are so accustomed to seeing things not work out, that when a guy doesn’t overtly suck we think it’s good enough. He’s a big pile of “bleh”. Not horrific, but not good either. Is that what we drafted?
  4. From my point of view, the turning point was Strome’s goal called back (rightfully so). The Rangers had come out in the 2nd looking pretty good actually sustaining an attack. The reversal seemed to wake Carolina back up and they were relentless the rest of the way.
  5. Just got tickets to the game tonight. My only wish is that I had a Ted Lasso mustache to bring that energy into the arena
  6. I’d try it. I also think he’s wasted on the 4th line. I was envisioning him on the 3rd, but no problem seeing how he does on the 2nd in the playoffs.
  7. I mean who is the answer on this roster? Do you dare put Goodrow there if he comes back in time? Please not Hunt again, for the same reason you gave for Motte x 1000. Lafreniere was just tried and it didn’t stick. Kakko isn’t going to be the ticket either. Running out of options. It shouldn’t be that hard to find something that works with Panarin/Strome.
  8. Been wanting to see Motte there. He gives that 4th line much needed speed though.
  9. Don't see Reaves sitting any of these games to be honest. Even if we make it past Carolina. I'll give you Rooney could be an option for Goodrow. He's almost as useless as Kakko.
  10. Well, yeah, Copp just had a 3 point game now since my post so he’s separated himself a bit now point wise. He was awesome last night. He basically did what I was hoping he or Strome would do with Panarin struggling. Make something happen with the puck on his stick rather than waiting for Panarin to break out of the funk. Major kudos to Copper last night.
  11. Right on. We already know Zib got pissed about the -2 you gave him mid-game-6 against the Pens.
  12. The best thing about the 3rd pair is you’re not hearing their name called much. That’s what you want. You couldn’t keep Nemeth’s name out of the commentators’ mouth round 1. All bad.
  13. LOL. Shamelessly I have to admit that I think he's entertaining even though he hates the Rangers (or pretends to). I really think it's all just a bunch of schtick he's putting on for drawing a crowd and making a name for himself.
  14. Edmonton always had the Leafs syndrome where they just couldn't do anything in the playoffs for the life of them. They seem to have turned the corner and I would be absolutely fucking terrified to face Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
  15. 1. Igor Shesterkin 2. Mika Zibanejad 3. K'Andre Miller 4. Alexis Lafrenière 5. Chris Kreider 6. Adam Fox 7. Ryan Lindgren 8. Artemi Panarin 9. Andrew Copp 10. Ryan Strome 11. Jacob Trouba 12.
