Capitals have the 3rd worst goal differential in the entire east (-37). How's it even possible to make the playoffs with that lol. Buffalo has +2, Ottawa -26.

Booooooring. Tired of playing Capitals and Penguins in the playoffs. I really wanted Detroit this time (fuck off Flyers).
I'm not so sure about the outcome. They should win this in 4 or 5, but it is the "never make it easy" Rangers we're talking about here. I voted Rangers in 5, but I'm leaning more toward Rangers in 6 now. They'll blow one of the first two and then lose the first game after they've won 3.

Shesterkin leads the playoffs in shutouts.
Not really ballsy. He's the best goalie in the playoffs.

Once again, 2 years ago team is different. It's pointless to compare them.
All they were was elite goalie and PP. Now they aren't. They essentially have the same record, but Igor is a .911 goalie and their powerplay disappeared for a month. That didn't happen 2 years ago.
My complaint wasn't the 5v5 scoring, it was that they bled scoring chances against at 5v5.
And yea, I did say I told you so because I was right. You and anyone else would do the same. But, during the playoffs I said the same thing I'm saying now: It's a race to 16 wins and it doesn't matter how you get them.
So nice try at a "gotcha", now you can add to the thread instead of trying to catch me with some bullshit.
You were trying to convice people that the team was bad when most people were just happy to see the team make the playoffs again. Now when people try to say something along the same lines about this team you jump on them with a «you’re not a real fan» attitude. Just pointing out the hypocracy - that’s all.

it feels like last year made people forget how good the team was in the 21/22 season. They ended on almost the same amounts of points as this year and they had the swagger and demeanor of a great team. They had many comeback wins that year too (that’s why the whole no quit in NY thing started).
There’s obviously some minor roster changes and other tactically differences between the coaches, but it’s the same core playing (almost) the same way.

It's quite another to try and convince yourself that everyone around you that the team is bad and that all the players stink.
You know that’s exactly what you did in 2021-22, right? You kept banging on about how they’re «just an elite goalie and PP», how they can’t score 5v5 and that the coach sucks. Over and over and over again. I also remember a few «I told you so» after the Tampa series.

Do we finish above Canes if tied on points? Or do we need the extra point here?

Sorokin is not making it hard on the Rangers, the Rangers are. it's like they refuse to get dirty.
Probably one of his easiest games of the season. Sees everything

Look at this shit lol, they’re just standing around waiting for this game to end.
This Islanders team knows how to shut down this Rangers team, been doing it for years. After the last two games they’re in our heads aswell. We’re done in 5.
