  1. Well look at that. Can’t really say I’ve noticed him much when I’ve seen him play so I’ll trust the stats on this one. I also think Drury has been right more often than wrong when it comes to these types of trades/signings, so I’ll trust him on this one. And Yeah, Chad is a great name.
  2. Trading a 4th rounder (even if it’s 3 years from now) for a Hartford guy would be stupid. Feels like Jones is on the move and Drury/Lavi wants a veteran 7th D (even tho he sucks).
  3. What about keeping the Brodz line as it is and use Wennberg with Goodrow and Vesey as a shutdown line? They will probably get more 5v5 ice time then the Brodz line and they all get some minutes on the PK. Kreider - Mika - *trade* Panarin - Tro - Laf Vesey - Wennberg - Goodrow Cuylle - Brodz - Kakko
  4. What the fuck is this? A 4th round pick and a 3rd round pick next year for Tarasenko WITH retention? That’s nothing lol.
  5. He would be the perfect fit for the 1st line if he can play RW... Too much for a rental I agree. If they can re-sign him then I'm all for it, but I don't see how that's possible without trading someone like Kreider in the off-season. Even with Kakko and Goodrow gone it will be hard to fit him under the cap. With an extension I would have no problem trading Kakko, Otthman and/or Perrault + 1st for him. Not all of it, but some kind of package. He's an amazing player and a playoff beast. This roster + Guentzel would be Cup favorites in my eyes. Even as a rental I would be fine with giving up a lot. Probably not the prospects mentioned, but a 1st++ sure.
  6. On todays episode of things you love to see:
  7. Pivot man in circle jerk lmao This will be another tough battle. They were up for it against Islanders and Devils, lets make it 3 for 3.
  8. Hahaha this is gold. And someone in the comments said the tickets to this game went for 10$
  9. Well it is crazy today as well. And not correct. Shesterkin at his absolute worst is still better than Georgiev who's having an average season by his standards. (Both at .899 save%, Igor 2.86 GAA vs Georgiev's 2.88). Georgiev is as average as it gets, but he acted like he was the best goalie in the league. Shesterkin has proven before that he CAN be the best goalie in the league, I'm not gonna change my entire view of him based on a ~25 games slump. Shesterkin's save % during his first 190 NHL games is .920. That will have him around top 5 on the NHL Goalies ‑ All-Time Save Percentage Leaders list. The minimum requirement here is 200 games, so he's 10 short of being on the list. In the playoffs he's at .929 in 28 games. I'm with @Ozzy here. If we're to even get close to winning a cup this year it's with Igor in net. I'm fine with rolling Quick at the moment, but at some point we need to get Shesterkin going.
  10. Thanks for the reminder@BrooksBurner… On topic - I’m not surprised to see Laf with these numbers. He’s never been a good finisher (atleast in the NHL), he has a decent amount of goals because he’s good at being at the right place at the right time. His goals are mainly open net goals or rebounds and deflections.
  11. I'm just not buying that. Why would the goalie hug the right post when his defender has the puck behind his goal on the left side? And it doesn't really matter where the shot comes from when there's a perfect tip 5 feet in front of him. If the team managed to score more than 2 goals on 31 shots against Mackenzie Blackwood he would've kept them to under 3 goals.
  12. "I do think we could've pressed more in the offensive zone, I thought we were a little bit too much east/west all night[...] we need more straight delivery to the net, more puck to the net, more people to the net and look to make things happen. We're being to selective." It's the same thing every NYR head coach has said the last 3-4 years.
  13. You can't seriously be blaming Shesterkin after this? He had many great saves and the three goals were one giveaway behind the net to an opponent with an open goal, one crazy deflection and the OT goal there were 3 Sharks players all alone in front of him. This team is toast and it's no surprise since it's exactly the same team that blew 2-0 leads in the playoffs back-to-back. People wanted to blame it on GG and lack of adjustments, but in reality it's this teams weak mentality. I didn't watch the game but I watched the condensed highlights and I knew the moment Gus turned that puck over that they would find a way to fuck this up and they didn't disappoint. Drury needs to do something, and do it quick.
  14. We've got ourselves a new NHL star recently - Emil Lilleberg. He was originally drafted by Arizona in the 4th round in 2021, but due to some heart problems and not wanting surgery he was released by the club shortly after. After a couple years in Sweden he got a chance with Syracuse and has played well in the A. Finally got his chance for Tampa last week and scored his first point tonight. The best thing about him tho is his english. It's probably even funnier when your norwegian, but it's comically bad lmao:
  15. 1. Artemi Panarin 2. Vincent Trocheck 3. Adam Fox 4. Chris Kreider 5. Mika Zibanejad +2 6. Igor Shesterkin 7. Jacob Trouba 8. Alexis Lafrenière 9. Ryan Lindgren 10. Jonathan Quick 11. Erik Gustafsson 12. Jimmy Vesey 13. K'Andre Miller 14. Blake Wheeler 15. Will Cuylle 16. Barclay Goodrow 17. Nick Bonino 18. Jonny Brodzinski 19. Braden Schneider 20. Tyler Pitlick 21. Zac Jones Mika back to his best again the last few weeks. Even #5 feels low.
  16. On the 2nd PP he took a shot almost right off the draw. I agree they should shoot more tho.
