This is a bad move. It’s the type of move that sends a message that hard work is not rewarded by the organization. Rempe brings something that is hard to define but effective.

Thanks! Yeah the energy in the Garden was real low! I’ve had good luck going to games but this one was missing any sort of energy. Never a bad time at the Garden though!

Mancini had his worst game by far as a Ranger. I was at the game and he struggled with Florida’s quick transition game and his passing was off all night. Pretty sure we see Zac Jones on Saturday night. Rangers really could have used Rempe tonight- this was essentially a pillow fight all night and Rempe could have brought much. Needed physicality and maybe lit a spark in a team that came out so flat. That being said, this was still a winnable game if Bob does not make some incredible saves.

ESPN plus means I won’t be watching. Stop forcing people to pay to watch a team play when we all already pay a lot. NHL do better!!

Mica and Riley really look dreadful. How long until Riley is on the 4th line and we are shuffling other right wingers into that role? The guy honestly stinks.

It does seem like in both Laffy’s contract and Igor’s these should have occurred during the off season. I get that maybe they were working on these in the summer too but it’s the season now and these two need to be focused on winning hockey games and not contract negotiations. I’d say go ahead and get this done now and don’t let this linger over his head all season.

This was an honestly brutal effort by the Rangers. I don’t really care as it’s pre-season but I am concerned with Othmann . Guy really did not earn a spot on the team and still had almost no impact on this game as well. He was given a chance and simply put he blew it. Hope he enjoys that central CT hospitality again.

Agreed- Othmann was really a no show in almost every area. This was a game he should have made a statement and he was no where to be found.

This is basically an AHL/ECHL preseason game. As much as I love anything hockey this one might be a tough watch!

Trouba’s situation is going to make any organization look real hard into giving players no movement clauses moving forward. I would imagine the NHLPA is not very happy with how he handled this situation at all and I doubt his fellow players are very ok with him taking this angle. They should be smart enough to realize what this does to their likelihood of being offered this type of deal in the future. I respect that Trouba is a family man but his level of entitlement is literally off the chart.

This game is about as pre-season as a hockey game can look. Chytil looks fantastic- clearly the best player by a long stretch. What’s not impressive is how Kappo looks. He looks exactly like he did last season- one step slow and honestly virtually invisible even again essentially AHL talent.

This is exactly what I came to post! Sam’s voice calling Rangers games is the only voice I know for my entire life! He started the same year I was born and he’s a legend. Through all the teams ups and downs Sam’s voice and style have been the constant. Never met the guy but he’s like a friend in that way. I’ve always said to people that the last game Sam calls will be a very sad day for me- I saw this coming but still somehow it makes me sad. Happy for Sam and I hope he has a great retirement— but I’ll miss him tremendously.

Lindgren deserves this contract but I hate that it’s only a year. This guy is what Trouba should be- loyal to the team, physical and just a good character guy all around. He’s a true Ranger and once again we are seeing the impact of potentially the worst contract in the league(Trouba) come back to haunt this team.

Love that they resigned this guy!

Trouba led the post season in one category don’t forget- minor penalties taken. So he has that to add to his resume!
