I just personally think his first year here was more dominant than he is this year. Doesn’t mean this isn’t a fantastic year, but his first year here was a bit more dominant on a lesser team. I’m sure playoff time he’s going to shoot a bit more when everything is amped up and space is squeezed.

And you’re entitled to that opinion. It’s not even about him being successful here or not. No one would say he isn’t a great signing. He’s an elite player. Doesn’t mean no one is allowed to voice an opinion or small criticism though here and there. It’s a message board. I highly doubt he’s going down the wing thinking of you or I regardless.

Oh FFS That's a bad goal -
I have a Simpson gas. No issues at all. Works very well. I'd stay away from electric

Devils are so useless. lol. Couldnt even hold a 2 goal lead late. Damn them. -
Zib definitely took a little less than he could have. It’s a beautiful thing. And Kreiders deal is a steal now too although no one thought he would do this.

Krieder hattie today -
I never understand the point of responses like this. So are we not supposed to discuss anything? I don’t think anyone believes players read what any of us write so Im not posting my opinion for him to read. I’m posting my opinion because that’s the point of message boards in the first place.

Have to say, I cannot wait to break Passover Saturday evening. No beer, no carbs is a rough way to go for 8 days lol just need to decide what meal to have with the wife

Still going to need to shoot more come playoff time. Different game. I’m confident he will though. He is an incredibly intelligent hockey player.

I don’t know man. They have 27m but only 12 people under contract next year. If they drop 20m on those two, that’s a whollllle lot of filler to put out a team.

Losing Copp hurts. Chytil I won’t notice. -
RIP. I was there in person at MSG when he had a hat trick as a Ranger. I remember thinking it weird because he should have always been on Montreal.
-
I sure hope you don’t mean me. He’s been great here. He’s not without flaw of course though but overall he is one of our better acquisitions in recent years.
-
Yeah of course. He’d be Mika lite then basically and then the discussion is moot because we couldn’t afford him lol There’s a ton of truth to that. I think the balance though when riding this wave is to make sure they both are at the crest at the same time. It appears they are but we can’t just overpay when Ryan needs this symmetry. im just hoping the conversation goes along the lines of him understanding that he can be a 5.5m .8ppg game here, or a 6.5m .5ppg somewhere else.
-
I’d rather not try to turn this into an anti Strome thread but we do have to admit a few short comings of him. He leads all forwards on this team in penalties and his career ppg shot up from around .5 points per game to .8 once bread got here. I know that Ryan had an impressive stretch and stepped up when Panarin was on his hiatus but the larger body of work still says there is a big connection . There is also the faceoff area where he is subpar in. It’s going to be very curious what they do in the summer.

Personally, I think motte is the least important person to keep just because we have options elsewhere in Hunt. Rooney, Blais, etc. Hunt has another year and the others aren’t getting pay days by any means so just go with whatever is cost effective.
-
28 year old with probably 115 points or so? I’d think 10m for starters but with who? Calgary will never walk away from Tkachuk and he needs to be paid too. Hoe he likes Buffalo wings

Drunk Guy Provokes Mike Tyson on Plane, Gets Pummelled
Keirik replied to Phil's topic in The Bar Room
I’d say bring it but dude at this point probably has less money than all of us so why bother? Lol -
I hate to say it but regardless of Copp, Strome either takes a team friendly deal or he is going somewhere else. This team can't afford to give out exact market value to everyone and a guy that is great here, but heavily dependent on lineages, isna perfect spot to establish a culture of team first.
