Seravalli Rangers Heavily Pursuing Potential Trade for J.T. Miller
Keirik replied to RichieNextel305's topic in New York Rangers
I would agree if his contract wasn’t until 24/25. That lines him up exactly where Troubas nmc changes to a ntc and Lindgren is also up rfa. I think you can say the same about Lundkvist but he hasn’t impressed me nearly as much and is a bit undersized. I just think we have such a unique situation to have a guy nhl ready so young that still is only going to get bigger and better while still being dirt cheap until we have exactly more cap freedom. -

The thing is, it's best that he's entrench the 3rd pairing. That's perfect for a 20 year old and perfect for his development. A 3rd pairing on an NHL roster isn't the same as being stuck to a 4th line role as a forward is. He's still going to play 15+ minutes a game and will see plenty of matches against top lines on the road. Schneider has already impressed me a he'll of a lot more than Skjei did early on. We just over valued Skjei as an organization This isn't the same at all to me -

Honestly, I couldn’t disagree more. With some of the contracts we have , Schneider is a 925k + 400k performance bonus cap hit per year until 24/25. That’s an extremely necessary asset. There just simply will not be a better value for pennies on this roster. I get that makes his value so high for other teams but he is a stud in the making. He’s going to replace Trouba before this is all said and done. He just can’t be dealt in my opinion. Jones has the same cap hit for next year only. Having a 3rd pair for under 2m that isn’t a shit show is huge for us. I’d honestly rather give up two 1st round picks to get a Gourde with retention or a hefty price of a 1st, + 2 prospects not on our roster right now for Miller before giving up a Schneider. -

Looks like Traktor is up 2-0 in their playoff series. Sucks. was hoping for a sweep and an olive branch of “hey kid, can we help you get out of there and into safety?” Type of good will gesture. -

Yeah I really like Schneider Jones on that third pair. You have mobility and strength at the same time for a great cost. -

Jt Miller was my original target way back before I thought (and still think) Gourde was a better fit for so many reasons. However,I’m all aboard as long as Schneider isn’t part of the equation. If he is, we will look back on this for years as a horrible trade. -
As I sat there next to Ozzy and RJ getting drunk I often wondered “ is it us? Is our alcohol consumption really affecting Fox’ ability to pull his stick out his ass? 9 beers later, several glances from scantily dressed women I pondered “ where did we go wrong” and then boom….. Game tied….. then the inevitable “next Ozzy shot wins” and bang…..we score. as we celebrate-we also lament “how is it jus5 us three and those random girls keith bought shots for that Ozzy inevitably got digits of them. En if iit won't go further then the, pm asking who I am. or maybe boat! We won! I found my wedding ring luckily on th floor. Ya ya m! Gonna receive my vows lol

What Will it Mean for Russian Hockey Players and the NHL?

Well maybe. But there's a lot in play about that. Ask Panarin about that. -

It can be sure. But unless someone is openly lobbying for hate, aggression, etc, then I’m not sure canceling anyone Russian is the answer. -

Keirik replied to Sod16's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
Honestly, i dont and i dont believe any Russian athlete or citizen here owes us any explanation. They are Russian. I expect them to lean more towards a rosy colored vision of their home country a lot more than i expect them to be Panarin. Even if they backed Putin previously. So what? It's their right. Cancelling anyone Russian now in the sports world feels dangerous hypocritical to the freedoms we have in North America. If they are actively spreading hate the that's a different story. However, even the Russians that have brought their family over here still have memories, friends, distant relatives, etc back in Russia. There's about 10 different reasons why they may publicly talk positive about Putin in the past whether it be from misinformation, being out of touch, scared, national pride, whatever. None of that really means much right now and this isn't their war. What's next? Start removing busts in the Hall of Fame of Soviet players like Tretiak? It's nuts to me that we are publicly shaming 16 and 17 year olds and banning them from junior draft because of what's going on in Russia. -

Keirik replied to Sod16's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
Yeah it makes no sense. I’m fine with the world trying to cancel the country right now because of their efforts of war mongering, but don’t cancel the players and/or civilians that have nothing to do with this. Even if Ovechkin said x, y, z in 2014. It’s still a huge stretch to tie that together with what’s happening in 2022. I’ll go by what a player says now/today over what they said years ago. If it matches what he or she said years ago then that’s a different story. -

You spelled “used to” incorrectly -
Wilson doing his thing against the Maple Leafs. Just roughed up Tavaras unmolested. Not remotely close to what, he did to be sad and not penalty worthy but sat him down on his ass after the whistle with no one making him answer for it as of yet. God I love Reaves on our team

He's been lights out lately Ozzy. You've been preaching this guy all year. Both you and Josh for different reasons. Both of you guys deserve credit for that.
