I just don’t agree. Lindgren has not missed any time during his career, nor does he miss shifts. He’s our top pair with Fox. Our two pair is Trouba and Miller. They’ve been eons better this season compared to last. Have to have some faith in that pair and Miller specifically. He’s 22 and a 1st round pick averaging 20 minutes a night. Hell if we aren’t going to give those guys playoff experience and letting them get used to a different load during the playoffs then they might as well trade them tomorrow because you aren’t building anything.

Lindgren is fine. He’s only missed time due to injury once in his career. For 5 games last year. Miller is going to have to learn one way or another through experience. It’s a salary cap world. They are going to have to start getting reps to guys in the system. I’m not worried about a 3rd pairing LD when there are bigger things to address first.

Honestly, our defense really doesn’t need a serious upgrade with the emergence of Schneider. It’s not perfect but it’s an area I’m comfortable keeping in tact. Upgrading and adding offensive depth is far more important.

I hated the way they released the game initially. I tried it, liked it a lot, but then figured I’d wait until it’s actually complete. Tried going back a few months ago and I’m totally lost lol. It’s so different. Still gives me an emptiness feel though which does sort of make sense since the universe. However, they populated everything but not in a way that makes it feel alive to me.

Admittedly, I’m looking on paper mostly but I’m just seeing going from 5 goals to 7 goals or 12 points to 16 points and for more money. I do like the thinking though. It’s similar to what I was suggesting with Gourde but I personally think Yanni would be the real score. I’d do a similar package to what Cgy gave up for Toffoli to Seattle to get Gourde and find a way to have 2m or so in retention and make sure Chytil goes the other way.

My biggest problem with it is how ridiculously inconsistent it is. So I can punch the living crap out of a guy’s face and it’s just fine lol. But Igor gets brushed and we automatically need to come out. However, when Marchand punched Jarry and he went flailing down then gets speared in the face, nothing? They need to change the protocol. They should require the trainer to do a quick check on ice, and if the trainer sees something he doesn’t like, then full concussion protocol. It’s nuts this way.
