  1. Yeah, I’d say projecting to a bit higher than 25 points as a guy that only sees even strength or pk minutes in a bottom six role is something very positive. 2 of his 7 goals are game winners, anotber one is a shortie, he’s 4th on the team in hits, 5th in points among forwards on our team, kills penalties, and is out there is plenty of last minute situations. What else would you want him to be doing?
  2. 3 technically because I think Grabber is also retained but 2 expire after this season and OEL is just 990k each year. Plus that 50m of cap space with the floor being what it is, they are going to have to pad it somehow. Lord knows they aren’t signing every ufa with that ownership.
  3. I think Goodrow was a fine signing. It’s helped change us from being vanilla. Goodrow is having a career year for us so I can’t see his addition being anything but positive. that doesn’t mean anyone wants a carbon copy of Goodrow. If you’re referencing Gourde then they are not even close to the same player.
  4. It all has to work with retention because if Arizona takes 50% retention and Chytil is moved , it’s a 200k difference in our cap situation.
  5. Yup. Like a spark plug with talent and a bit of swagger in a big moment that could elevate the third line or slot up if he’s really feeling it that day or injury. I’m sure everyone is sick of hearing me on my Gourde mission but I just see it being such a great fit and I like how it can work for more than just this year. Alf isn’t surpassing Kreider or Bread on the left for another two seasons . Might as well look for someone to add another layer to that third line. Get Arizona involved. They have 50+ million in cap space next year so retention is nothing for them. Chychrun goes to Seattle for Gourde. Seattle trades a 30 year old for a 23 year old offensive D. Arizona trades Gourde to us retaining contract and give them something like Lundkvist, Chytil, and see what piece three they want if those two don’t get it done. we rid ourselves of the Chytil experiment, Lundkvist is never going up the ranks here anyway as an offensive D, and we solidify a role and need. We are one of the few teams that have the assets to not miss a beat and set ourselves up in a flat cap world.
  6. Pittsburgh is starting to really worry me. This was supposed to be year it all fell apart for them. Looks nothing of the sorts.
  7. Drink a Guinness. It’s a meal and a drink. Problem solved.
  8. Goodrow has been going between wing and c all season. There’s nothing wrong with getting another c/w hybrid guy that can slot anywhere in the lineup. I thought Goodrow looked best when he was on a line with Reaves and Rooney earlier in the season. I think Goodrow has been good for us. I have no issues with him. Our 4th line is a grinding punishing line. Our top two lines are scoring. Our third would be a nice high energy line with offensive potential if it weren’t being centered by Chytil.
  9. I don’t see him getting 50. I figure he will end up with around 39-42 by years end. Hopefully what he’s learned from this season can carry over into the next couple of years to be counted on for 35 each season.
  10. Gordle 2 3/6 https://gordle.herokuapp.com
  11. I actually think that’s our best move to make. I can deal with a bit of rotating on the bread RW line, but I really think getting a real 3c to compliment that line would be a huge addition.
  12. Get Arizona involved in a three way with us and Seattle. Seattle gets Chychrun ( has no clauses) for Gourde. Arizona then retains half of Yanni salary and trades to us for Chytil, b level prospect, and a 1st.
  13. If you trade Chytil, I guess the thought process is to put Goodrow back at C? I’d rather obtain a real 3c through a package. Let’s say
  14. I bought m6 house well before the pandemic. They very well might have driven by but I have no idea officially.
  15. I’m getting that warm and fuzzy feeling about this season
  16. Holtby can be had this offseason for free, but I get the idea of getting so,ething for Geo before he walks.
