  1. My only issue is this idiotic return when they have Ullmark and Swayman could lead to the Isles getting back in the race if Boston drops too many points. It’s odd.
  2. isles flyers ot was insane. Going to shootout now. No idea why I’m in italics
  3. Hate Maguire. Him and Lindleof are two Jackovs
  4. You know, i5 could be worse. You could have
  5. That’s kinda where I’m at. The reason I say gourde is solely based on retention and how he seamless fits in at 3c or up and down the lineup. Frankly, retention for Seattle is not even remotely an issue. I have no clue what Seattle is doing because they aren’t building a team around Giordano, Eberle, amd Gourde so my only guess is they got guys they thought were higher chips for maneuvers. Im just trying to think diamonds in the rough that fill a need or two and wouldn’t be just a pure rental. Miller isn’t, but he’s gone after next year anyway. To me, it would be a genius move to get a 3c to play along ALF until he’s ready to take the next step and still be helping us for 3 seasons with very little cap cost. As long as Chytil goes the other direction, Gourde at half cap hit doesn’t affect our ability to resign Strome so we are good there. THEN we also look for that rental for this years playoff push with the still extra cap space we have. A 2 time cup winner at 3c that could cost 2.5m with a track record of sliding up the lineup and performing or down the lineup and still putting up a good 30 points is a real coup that we would look back on later thankful. Plus as I said, it’s not like he asked to go to Seattle. He was just a product of the numbers.
  6. I just want to go on record I said I wanted JT Miller first a couple of months ago lol. I’m just liking other options too and unsure which I like more Also to the peanut gallery that thinks Gourde can’t get traded, let’s keep in mind that Seattle traded Vanacek back days after drafting him. Plus they signed/drafted 12 guys that are either rfa or ufa next year so I think they know this is a long process. Hell they drafted two guys they didn’t even retain going into the year I think. I really think everyone on that roster is available outside of maybe Wennberg, Grubauer, Donskoi, McCann if the price is right. Plus they have 30m in cap space this coming offseason so even if they lost a Gourde, they are one of the few teams that could make a real splash in the offseason.
  7. Cole Perfetti scores his first career goal. Welcome to the show kiddo!
  8. Todays it was hard (that’s what she said )
  9. I did t have a home inspection nor did anyone come inspect my house. I went through geico. I believe they might have taken pictures outside the house but they never told me they did nor did anyone set foot inside.
  10. 100%. And I'd still love to see us pursue a real 3c. We have 1/2c. We even have 4c. 3c? Good row maybe? He dorks t really help Alf's growth though and whether we want to admit it or not, Alf isn't surpassing kreider or bread for years in all likelihood so getting him a 3c that might aid in his development but also solidify a defensive side as well should be a priority.
  11. He really is a perfect fit (as long as it's with retention). Still needs us to Reade Chytil at some point if he isn't included in the deal.
  12. Because they didn’t sign him, they stink, he’s 30, and they have something like 13 or so ufa/rfas next year so I think they wouldn’t mind 2-3 high level prospects to fill out a roster.
  13. If we are talking about trading enough assets to allow retention, would we prefer Miller at 2.6 for this year and next year, or Gourde at 2.5 for three more seasons? Miller is definitely the better player but we only get him for a about 1.3 seasons and his role would be reduced a bit here. Gourde would slot in nicely in a 3rd line role at a very team friendly cost until 2025 and has 2 cups worth of playoff experience. I think in the end I probably prefer Miller but the one thing I do worry with him is the possibility of an attitude issue. The only thing that would make me want to go with Gourde is if we kept Kravtsov, traded away other assets on D and welcomed Kravtsov back either at seasons end or training camp. A team next year would look very solid with a top 9 of Kreid Zib Kak Bread Strome Krav Alf Gourde Goodrow then a 4th of Blais Rooney Reaves Assuming we are able to get Blais, Rooney to sign minimal deals and the rest get paid along the lines of what we all have discussed before.
  14. I do have a ps5. Is it linear though? I never get into linear games and with both dying light and horizon zero dawn coming out, I don’t want a long back log
  15. Think I played the original one on ps2
  16. Dying Lifht 2 supposedly could take 500 hours if you did everything and the game designer promises 5 years of updates and support. https://www.pcgamer.com/techland-promises-five-years-of-updates-for-dying-light-2/
  17. Honestly, if he was a must have for a team that we were trading with, I have zero problem losing him. He isn’t a key cog or anything. He’s replaceable. I have no doubt that he will be a good NHLer at some point, but we have depth at D.
  18. Looks like I picked the wrong week to play against Timo in fantasy
