  1. The amazing part with the Islanders is there was a 2week stretch or so in late Oct/early Nov where they won a good 4-5 games. Then bam, free fallin like Tom Petty
  2. Dying light 2 and the new Horizon Forbidden West are on my radar for games coming out.
  3. Isn’t Kotor being remastered right now? Looking forward to that.
  4. It really really is. I’d say “pinch me” but it wasn’t that long ago where we owned them both in head to head and just general standings/playoff success. This is less of a dream and more of an aging reality of futility. These last few years though seemed so weirdly flipped where it felt like the inevitable was happening without any control of it. Now it really looks like order is restored but the only difference is that the Islanders aren’t built for a long rolling window. This was their year. I believe they are the 2nd oldest team in the league while we are one of the youngest and getting results. And brand new arena? Chefs kiss!
  5. Sort of yes sort of no. Kakkos rookie year at least he contributed on the pp. Even there I see very little really out of Alf. That’s concerning in a high skill part of the game.
  6. IBS is still shitty for the Isles! No points for you! Come back, one year!
  7. Ice must be very choppy because the puck is bouncing like a tennis ball
  8. Isles might get their frost win at IBS arena
  9. I think it's partly that and also partly depending on how comfortable the two GMs are with their jobs If you trade to a rival and give pieces that end up being significant, you do run the risk of being "that guy" that dealt a guy that comes back to haunt your franchise and all that. But yeah, teams do trade more these days. But there is a big difference between trading a guy you see 2 times a year as opposed to 5 or more depending on playoffs.
  10. I’d have no problem with it as long as the ask isn’t way too high. He is their C after all.
  11. I don’t see the appeal of Showalter. He’s a .500 manager that really hasn’t been relevant in years.
  12. The isles would need an absolute historic run. They have 6 wins through 21 games so that leaves them with 61 games. They need roughly 45 ROW wins or so to be in the wild card hunt. So they need somewhere along the lines or 39 wins out of their last 61 games plus a few shootout points I think. That’s a big ask from an older team that doesn’t score too much. And that run needs to start like yesterday.
  13. So I woke up today and saw the sun did in fact rise and we still were one of the NHLs best teams. :)
  14. Are you sure of that? From what I’ve undersold, the seller always has some money in reserve for exactly this stuff. Just make sure with your lawyer and all that.
