  1. I dont know. I haven't tweeted anything from it in a while
  2. I have no idea. We will see as it gets closer
  3. ADA is Covid protocol. Cue the peanut gallery. https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/article256195192.html?src=rss
  4. Yeah dude, that’s a major spin. What does Graves length of long ass hair have to do with anything? What does Reaves having gloves on have to do with anything? Hell, why is Reaves trying to rip the helmet off a player as he knees on his face with referees trying to break it up? You’re making excuses for a dirty play. Doesn’t make Reaves a dirty player per say. Just means he let emotions dictate actions a bit too much on that day. It happens. Ok, Reaves “unintentionally “ ripped hair along the way while intentionally attempting to injure a player. Maybe he was just trying to inspect Graves chin strap too. let’s just agree to disagree. And as I said 100 times. Reaves can play on my team anyday. Doesn’t make him infallible though.
  5. Lol love the spin. For reference, Wilson never dropped his gloves in the Panarin incident as well. The point is, referees are on top trying to break it up, he’s on top of a vulnerable guy trying to hurt him and gets to the point where he rips hair out after He got a match penalty for intent to injure and suspended for a reason. It happens. They tip toe a fine line in a game of emotion. Sometimes they cross it. You man up to it and move on.
  6. Meh. I mean opponents say one thing and teammates say another. That’s just the nature of the beast. I’d take Reaves 10 out of 10 times. We all agree there I think. Why get a chihuahua to do the job when a pit bull will just do it better. having said that, at least Lemieux has proven he’s not just all bark and no bite eh?
  7. I’m sorry, I do not see some big difference between biting and ripping someone’s hair out. I didn’t add that part to the article for two reasons. First is for copyright reasons, I assumed we shouldn’t post too too much of an article. Second, why he did that is less important. No one is judging Reaves character so we all already know for Reaves to go after a guy, there is a valid reason to do so. We all would be happy as hell if Reaves beat the crap out of Wilson or .Subban or whoever. I doubt many would be okay with him ripping out hair. That’s not hockey or part of the game.
  8. Well, he had some previous success there in the past and instead of paying 9m to Skinner until 2027 to pot 10 goals, they pay 6m until 2026 for Kane who will get you 20-30 goals a year. I’m obviously just speculating but I don’t specifically remember him being a problem in Buffalo with Kane. I think they traded him because he was an impending free agent, no?
  9. Errr….? Scam anyone? https://auctions.nhl.com/iSynApp/auctionDisplay.action?auctionId=3842775&pgmode1=profilepage
  10. Buffalo, SJ, and Arizona work out a three way trade. Kane + pick to Arizona , they trade Kane to Buffalo for Skinner + pick retaining 1m . Arizona then trades Skinner to SJ retaining 2m. so it would work out where Arizona retains 3m overall salaries and get two or three picks, figure couple of 2nd rounders and prospect from one side and a prospect from the other. SJ takes over Skinners contract but instead of 9m, it’s 7m and Kane returns to Buffalo at a 6m cap hit instead of 7. makes sense for all parties. Something like that will probably happen.
  11. I don’t see how anyone picks him up with a 7m cap hit until 25/26
  12. I’m not trying to make this a case of Lemieux vs Reaves. I’d take Reaves 10 out of 10 times. I’m just saying, he has a few incidents in his career that cross a line as well. I think there is some major overreaction going on. Biting is crossing a line. To me so is continuing to drive a guys head into the ice when the referees are trying to separate parties and ripping his hair out along the way.
  13. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nhl/vegas-golden-knights-ryan-reaves-suspended-two-games-for-ripping-out-hair-of-colorado-avalanches-ryan-graves/ar-AAKzQwk
  14. Was there articles about Lemieux throughout his career being a locker room cancer? I wasn’t even thinking that way. Just saying, Reeves has been suspended plenty of times too
  15. The overreaction is strong in this thread. We have Ryan Reaves on our team lol. And we love him. These guys play on the edge. Sometimes they cross it.
  16. Meanwhile Sean Avery was an icon for us lol neither is missed. We are well beyond that crap and into a team concept.
  17. @paddynyc hope you have a great birthday! Fellow trivia guesser and gdt contributor
  18. Les Canadiens de Montréal sont fiers d'annoncer la signature de Tony Deangelo pour un contrat de deux ans. Merci E5
  19. I wouldn't t mind Holtby at all but I just don't know how much the upgrade is there. He's taken a steep nose dive in two years. Three if u count him losing his job in Washington. Still, first round game 3 and Shesty goes down, I feel much better bringing in a guy with a cup on his last legs than someone that never had legs.
  20. I get your notion but realistically, we couldn’t afford to keep Buch. If you plug Buch’s contract into our team now, that means next year we have under 5m cap space going into an offseason where we lose 2c, backup goalie, and still need to bridge Kakko. There is also a problem if Gauthier keeps developing. Even if you replaced Geo with a sub 2m backup, you aren’t bridging Kakko, keeping Gaut, and getting any sort of center. It was a salary dump, plain and simple. The only mistake the Rangers made was not getting a bit more which likely only happens if they move him during last season. Flat cap. It sucks.
  21. Don’t worry, you can post in the Strome one next year. I l don’t mind keeping track of some former players. I think the original post was made in ill will but whatever. Buch is a nice story and his success doesn’t affect us in any way, except of the return which is in hindsight since Blais was good and we saved necessary cap room.
  22. I can’t believe we didn’t keep him. I’m sure he would have taken 2.5m per to stay
