  1. Fuck that team and their shitty fans. Long John Silvers has a better fanbase than the islanders and their food blows
  2. Jt? He takes plenty of faceoffs and is one of the better faceoff guys in the league. Vancouver is just fortunate because they have Horvat who is also good in faceoffs. Both are usually in the 55% won range
  3. So,e places do that. It can be a tad dry you could ask for more sauce but if they add too much, it gets ver6 salty so just be careful lol the pic u sent me did look a tad dry though
  4. Shu Mai are little shrimp dumplings
  5. Japanese yeah. Any place that sells sushi or fusion has it yeah. pits basically a tad sweeter thinner version of lo mein. Wife likes it. I’ll just eat the Singapore noodles lol
  6. It would probably take a lot to pry Miller out of Vancouver but I’d definitely be very interested and would give up a Lundkvist or Kravtsov to do so as part of a package. It would solve two things at once. He just can’t have #10 back
  7. Lol yeah. Tonight we are having yakisoba , beef negamaki, shu mai,and Singapore rice noodles .
  8. Josh was responding to my thought to get Jt Miller. JT Miller is not Goodrow at all. Miller is a 65-75 point player.
  9. Agreed. Right next to that place is Green Tea Restaurant. It’s not a hole in the wall but the Chinese food there is legit. It’s our go to a lot of times. Very good spicy central Chinese food. That China Station is northern Chinese food. Whole lot of good Chinese food in that area since Stony Brook has such a large Asian population.
  10. Lol I saw that episode. There is a place in Stony Brook that does handmade noodles called China Station I believe. This is their yelp page. Reviews are all over the place but I’m willing to bet it’s from people that think it’s a hole in the wall or don’t really have much authentic Chinese food. Most of the best places when I lived in China were hole in the wall places lol https://www.yelp.com/biz/china-station-stony-brook?hrid=KXDilVz62vZDPO-Sfhhf_w&osq=China+station
  11. Sounds like you are talking about yakisoba then . It’s basically Japanese lo mein but has a little sweetness to it. Or is it something all different? Maybe Hakka noodles. Those are also good. Or Dan Dan noodles. Ahhhhhh so many good things lol fuck I’m definitely having some fried noodles to,or row of some kind.
  12. We need JT Miller. Top 6 guy that is good on faceoffs and provides offense. 5.25m next year as well.
  13. Bright Yellow for the Singapore noodles lol. It’s very good. Think wok fried curry flavored lo mein with a bit thinner noodles. It’s not dripping in sauce. It’s very good though. Think like fried rice but in vermicelli form curry flavored. the dim sum dumplings are all different. Literally dim sum just translates to “little treasures” so it’s all sorts of dumplings, steamed buns, etc. the Shanghai ones Usually are pork and chicken mix. They are steamed and literally have a small meatball and soup inside a dumpling. It’s then dipped in a slightly vinegar/soy/ginger sauce and eat. When they are done right and the dumpling isn’t too thick, they are to die for. I’d assume any link I shared above that has them on the menu is going to be great. As for the stir fried udon http://www.ancientginger.com is pretty good but I haven’t specifically had their fried udon. Everything else has been okay. I’d think most Japanese places have that. In Selden is http://nishikiny.com which is also pretty good. I know the owner and I’ve had their fried noodles which are good. Looks like they have the fried udon as well. Usually if I’m doing non sushi Japanese, I’d go yakisoba and beef negamaki. If you haven’t had Egamaki definitely try that as well. Thin sliced beef rolled around a scallion with teriyaki sauce.
  14. Kinkaid game log last year 9 games .889 relief L .885 L .1.000 in relief L 1.000 shutout W .883 L in ot ( Vorachek undressed) .966 W .842 W .773 L .933 W came in relief 9 games, 7 starts 3 wins, 2 losses, 1 ot loss, 1 shutout 2.59 gas .898 save % Its alright, but it’s all over the place. What you need from a backup is just consistency. Doesn’t have to be outstanding but he has to at least have an e pelted performance. Can’t have it be ja blind roll of the dice.
  15. You can’t. Losing points in December because you have to start a goalie with an .850 could be the difference between being third in our division and fighting for the last wildcard spot. I’d rather have Kinkaid than Geo right now but it’s only because maybe he has an. .880 save % instead of .850 Either way, we need to acquire someone
  16. Singapore rice noodles (i5 has shrimp, beef, pork, hi ken in it so just ask to omit the shrimp) is a good curry fried thin noodle dish. There are a lot of good healthy dishes like spinach stir fried with garlic or most vegetable dishes, ma po tofu is good if you like a little spicy. A typical dish is something like stir fried egg with tomato, kung pao chicken is a good spicy chicken with peanut (a lot of American Chinese places have this but it’s not the same as if u got it from a real Chinese place). Peking duck is delicious, any dim sum dumplings are very good especially if you see Shanghai style soup dumplings which are delicious steamed on a cold winter day , Hong Kong style noodles are good. There’s a lot. I could go on all day lol
  17. I was watching that live last night. I was thinking wtf. Very distracting lol
  18. If there is one thing NHL caliber players will do is target an exposed weakness. Can’t have a large hole in your game at the NHL level and expect any success.
  19. Yeah that’s what I was getting at. A phone call to see where he’s at mentally and physically could be worth a shot. Honestly, I didn’t think Kinkaid looked very good at all last year so he’s not an answer either imo.
  20. What’s Devin Dubnyk up to these days? Wonder if he’s still interested in having a career.
  21. The problem with Huska is that while his numbers this year are good in a handful of games, the rest of his AHL career is pretty trash
  22. 100% agreed. It makes sense in theory but yeah, I think when that Ottawa game gets cancelled you roll with your rested starter regardless of the opponent.
