  1. You know, @joshthis is a fantastic thread. So many ways to go since we are talking about "on this roster" rather than just best player. So hey, anyone mention ADA yet?
  2. No love for Avery in this thread? 164 points in 264 games for us, plus was Brady Tkachuk before Brady passed puberty
  3. Quite possibly by Jags definitely shoots. Had over 1000 shots in his 4 years with the Rangers.
  4. My idea is anyone that pots 50 FOR THE RANGERS would be a great fit here. Imagine Jags on the rw instead of a Kakko. we do have the grit part of Graves already, just minus the 30-50 yearly goals that’s associated with it.
  5. I mean the easy answer is Gretzky but he wasn’t here in his prime. Lindros doesnt remember his prime, Messier had hair in his prime, and Gaboriks prime was every other year. I’ll take Jagr. Honorable mention to Graves because his leadership and grit would compliment our skill nicely in a way Kreiders does without the occasional hiatus.
  6. Lol that was such a shit show. Guys would just spam the same message in bold, all caps lol
  7. I guess but being specifically on a line isn’t exactly a fail safe. Very few teams in this league have full blown lines that are shut down. Usually it’s one or two players so they cheat to those that matter. Kakko on Breads other wing is the guy that would be less focused on in this situation. I don’t think it’s too early to place a critique on Alf either. Same point holds true. We are currently a playoff team based on two players really. Shesty first and Fox second. That can’t hold true all year.
  8. I sort of understand what you mean but a team with Kreider, Panarin, Fox, Zibanejad, Strome, and Shesty alone should be a playoff team. I don't think anyone is expecting them to lead. We are just expecting them to somewhat perform considering the opposition has to game plan around the guys I mentioned above. It's actually pretty amazing that neither one of them really show too much considering how they aren't going to focused on very much.
  9. It's been a long long long time since we have seen a player of Strome's caliber
  10. Nah. 17/18 6m total salary 18/19 6m total salary Signs on a team with Ryan Strome. Instant raise. We all know why.
  11. Just remember. Before Strome, Panarin was only a 6m player.
  12. Before last season I said ALF would make a bit of sense at C because of his style of game. Watch any of his team Canada games or juniors and he is everywhere on the ice more like a center rather than board play at all. It was always met with a shut down statement of “you don’t do that to a high level talent.” Well, with him being a bit underwhelming, I don’t see why not give it a bit of a whirl at 3c. You can put him on a line with Goodrow to take draws until ALF feels comfortable along with Blais on the other wing. Maybe bump up Chytil to wing in the top 6 and see if that sparks a bit from either player. You really can’t get too much less than you already are getting from both. If it doesn’t work, so be it.
  13. Chytil stinks. He just does. He was a gigantic reach as a draft anyway. It’s what makes this offseason so important to keep Strome. Chytil cannot be our 2nd line center next year unless you are conceding we take a giant step back and bide our time until another 2c is available.
  14. I’ll concede that it makes it hurt that much more to lose Kravtsov because of how poorly the gifted ones are given top 6 without actually deserving it. His immaturity (Krav) now has left us with one less option when it’s clear to me that the jury is still out on our top 6 guys.
  15. As I said, this loss stings, but we got a point and 3 out of 4 so far on the trip. If I can learn a lesson and only lose a point along the way I’ll take it. Going to be very interesting when we play next.
  16. Welp, can't win if you show no heart and try to coast to a win. Lesson learned hopefully and a point is a good way to learn it.
