And whatever this situation is, the organization better figure out what is going wrong because this is now two European prospects that basically told us to go fuck ourselves for whatever reason in similar fashion. Maybe but a guy like Kravtsov is at an all time low value. It’s not going to increase at any point without a relationship repair with this organization that I don’t see happening. The. It becomes a point of do you let him rot out of spite or do you at least get something also at an all time low value that has potential. Guess it’s like looking for Sam Bennet 2.0

Just pointing out that there definitely been concerns of Kakkos work ethic. Hell you can say there have been concerns with Alf’s chubbiness in the past. You weren’t clear that you’re talking about just now with that.

If you’re goi g to be losing a guy like Kravtsov, and you’re in on thinking this team is building to compete, I don’t see it as horrible. You aren’t getting top dollar for Kravy and at least then he’s out in the central where you don’t face him often. His 18/19 season shows the talent is there, he can play wing or C. Might keep Ryan here for a tad cheaper and if he doesn’t, Dylan’s even with arb rights wouldn’t command a ton and kicks the can down the road.

With Kravtsov being on the outs possibly, this is a potential trade target. Always a possibility. I just feel like I see something in Kravy that makes me believe his attitude, albeit cocky, is actually something that raises his ceiling. I think ceiling wise, Kravtsov > Buch so once we removed Buch, Krav should have been here to stay. Even if not given Buch’s minutes, him being with the team slotting in and out of the lineup is better than a demotion to Hartford. The rest would have sorted itself all out in due time. Being around the team with our leaders would have done more to correct any issues than this. This was always going to be the result if it was for waivers/ Gauthier or hunt had better camps. That’s kind of laughable to me. I’m sure the organization knew that and if they didn’t, we are in worse trouble long term. You lose this kid and you’ve lost our best offensive prospect in the organization outside of Kakko and Alf. Maybe Chytil? Big maybe lol. Plus, if we are 10 or 15 games into the year and Alf and or Kakko are sitting at 1 or 2 goals like last year (or two straight years for kk) then what? Think Hunt or Gauthier are picking up that slack?

Absolutely i do. There is a difference between showing you belong here and showing you dominate the league. Ive never said he's shown to dominate. He's shown to be NHL ready though in my mind and that he can and would contribute here and it's the best place for him.

He led his team in goals. Tied with 16. In 12 less games than the 60 they played. He was 7th in points and realistically would have been in his top 5 had he played the full season. All while being significantly younger than most in the league.

I honestly have no idea why you are so focused on the AHL. Again, who gives a shit about the AHL? There are a shit ton of AHL superstars that never did squat at the NHL level. More failures than successes actually especially in recent decades where players develop in other leagues overseas or college. I take more stock in what he’s shown more recently in the KHL where he led his team in goals at 20 years old and looked great all year. Or by all means go back to the gdt when Kravtsov got here last year and look at a lot of the comments of how he is a step quicker than a lot of players and looks to fit right in at the NHL level. Nothing has changed since then except he got hurt and our illustrious clutch gm wants to horde grit.

Great, you have some examples of guys that have good AHL numbers? And there are hundreds of guys with awesome AHL numbers that don’t do crap in the NHL. I’m not following the point? That because he didn’t dominate a league that Julien Gauthier scored like Rocket Richard in means he hasn’t shown his worth in the NHL?

His play in the last preseason game alone says he’s ready too and that was without the help of our big three against a cup favorite. Like I said before, 23 players from the 2018 draft have been given more of a chance and played more NHL games than Krav, one even being Miller. Hell, 5 of that 23 weren’t even first round picks. If it’s his attitude that is the reason why then what kind of scouting did we screw up yet another 1st round pick? We could have taken Wahlstrom that had a better rookie year than both Kakko and Alf playing up and down the lineup.

Using AHL stats to justify anything is ridiculous. Vinni Lettieri Is an AHL beast. So?

Kakko didn’t just play 3rd and 4th line minutes, especially early on in his first season. He was up and down the lineup. He was on pp quite a bit, especially that first season. Once they realized he was nowhere near nhl ready they lowered him in the lineup correctly.
