It really is. Which is why I was so frustrated with not making the playoffs. Last years play in was BS and no barometer or way to get any experience. You need this types of experience both as a way to see where you are at and prove to the players and organization that they can hang and aren’t far off from the next step.

Just goes to show what some of us were saying before this year started. Management refused to give a season expectation when asked about if not making the playoffs would deem the season as a disappointment. This roster, albeit young, should have entered this past offseason with an idea of taking the next step into the playoffs rather than just plugging some stop gaps and saying “well it’s a process.” Teams don’t go year one of playoffs and win a cup. They knew this. However, a team has to start being a playoff team in order to start really building that foundation and getting that experience to learn how to really win.

Well I didn’t say those things. I guess I said ADA is possibly a factor in Gorton getting fired, but I personally think it is. It’s not a factor as in the owner loves ADA, but as in just one example of mismanagement. Lemieux might fall into that situation too since he’s previously fought Wilson and is another example of roster mismanagement since he also was just re-upped.
