I’d think you are looking at Montreal having to do Price + 1st for Skinner + 2nd. If I’m buffalo I ask for their first in two years in the better draft that’ll be a bit more known and deeper. Buffalo spins it that they are adding a proven goalie in a position that has been a void while also getting a future. For Montreal they spin it that you’re getting an under 30 yr old you can try and get a reclamation out of and at worst is easier to absorb a lesser cap fwd bad contract than goalie one. Plus a low second is like a high first anyway. Allen has been fine for them anyway. But who knows. Still would have to sell it to Price

The only way I see anyone even wanting Price is for another major problem and even then I still don’t think it happens since I don’t see Price agreeing to go anywhere. Who wants an 11m goalie? Maybe Buffalo for Skinner but I’d think even then you’d need to throw in more to entice Buffalo.

This. No one in their right mind would ever entertain a swap of Fox for ADA or anything. One is a complete player and the other is ADA. But that doesn’t mean our pp or offense wouldn’t improve having both options. ADA didn’t just stumble his way into his offensive production. But whatever. What’s done is done.

I think Fox gets more pp time because he’s on the team and ADA isn’t. There just isn’t another option whatsoever right now.

Fair enough. I suppose an argument can be made both ways. Ziby is vital as well obviously but ADA didn’t accidentally be second on the team in pp assists last year either.

That’s true but they get much less setup because of how crappy it is as well. I’m not trying to rehash the ADA stuff though. He’s done. Just that if he were a normal individual, we would be better with his on ice offensive talent in a pp1/pp2 scenario. When Fox is rolling you use him. When other player is, you use him instead. Or for a diff look both which is rare as you pointed out a while ago.

Well, that's actually not true but whatever. Guys, like myself, were saying that the pp is going to be less effective when you take away one offensive D option who's entire game is focused around offense. And it still remains true regardless of ADA's shitty start. Slumps dont last foever. We have one of the worst PP right now and Fox averages over 4 minutes pp time per game. It's not exactly Fox' at all fault but Next closest D is Trouba and Miller with under 2 minutes each. I don't think either of them even have a pp point this year which is actualyl difficult to even comprehend since they both are on the pp2 unit. Compare that to last year where ADA had 3 minutes per game and Fox had 2 minutes per game and they were fairly deadly in a pp1 and pp2 scenario where they both succeeded.

FYI with Sirius, Strome is going to be on at some point during this hour's show.
