Are we sure Georgiev and Hajek are different people? Has anyone actually seen them together on the ice at the same time? They look identical in their pictures besides the haircut lol -
And that’s where I think Howden doesn’t really fit for what I’d like us to go for with a 4th. He hustles. But hustle does not really equate to harder to play against in my mind. He’s not overly punishing. He doesn’t really make the d turn around and cough up the puck. He doesn’t grind you down. He’s not even really overly good at faceoffs or a shut down center. You know who I might look at this offseason? Like Glendening. Ufa I believe. Not a huge guy unfortunately but in previous years he does hit and is fantastic at faceoffs. I don’t think his defensive stats are overly great but it’s Detroit so that’s a bit unfair.

From Mika. -
Exactly. A nice heavy hitting grinding 4th line with a center that wins faceoffs in big spots. It really does help the rest of the team. Pot a goal here and there which lifts the team and is hard to play against. I don’t think Howden is that guy though for c but that’s just me.

We are in first. Everywhere. With Knoblauch! -
From everything it seems, Strome knows he has a home here. He always is media available, has a nice groove, and seems to really enjoy Ranger life. I’m fine with him as a 2c. If it’s Ziby/Strome up the middle I think we are fine as long as we get a 4c great at faceoffs. Desperately need that.

Regardless of what everyone is watching you march right up to that tv and stake your claim as rightful commander about what to watch proudly changing the channel. Then just glare back and dare anyone to challenge you. -

Notice New for Political Forum -- The Card Punch Rule (MUST READ)
Keirik replied to Dave's topic in Support Center
I think an important question to ask is to clarify this I can use so,e common sense but my common sense might not be what another person believes. We also probably are going to really differ in what we consider a bias or hyper. Obviously there is a slope to it. I also assume each time there is a further reset of sorts so if a guy like capt got previously banned, he might be given another shot and notification if there is some ratification that might make it easier to understand how not to violate a sub forum that is always going to teeter on the border of disaster given certain passionate topics? Just spitballing some thoughts. -
Notice New for Political Forum -- The Card Punch Rule (MUST READ)
Keirik replied to Dave's topic in Support Center
Just as a heads up, a lot of us have asked for changes to the political sub forum loooooong before you came to the site. Really, it’s a site that’s been around for over a decade. The political sub forum has been around since at least 2016. It really has nothing to do with you nor is this coming out of nowhere. There have been a few issues that are of contention for as long as it’s been around. -
confirmed: BUF Trades Eric Staal to MTL for 3rd, 5th-Round Picks
Keirik replied to Phil's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
I’d think you are looking at Montreal having to do Price + 1st for Skinner + 2nd. If I’m buffalo I ask for their first in two years in the better draft that’ll be a bit more known and deeper. Buffalo spins it that they are adding a proven goalie in a position that has been a void while also getting a future. For Montreal they spin it that you’re getting an under 30 yr old you can try and get a reclamation out of and at worst is easier to absorb a lesser cap fwd bad contract than goalie one. Plus a low second is like a high first anyway. Allen has been fine for them anyway. But who knows. Still would have to sell it to Price -

Right. But does it make sense for Price to agree to it.buffalo is a tough sell I’d say. -
That’s fair. I like Strome better anyway. I still think historically Hayes is the better goal scorer but neither really are elite in that area anyway. I’m glad we have who we have just so I don’t have to listen to that block head talk lol
-
I meant goals. I believe Hayes has a 25 or so goal season in him. Don't think Strome ever cracked 20

The only way I see anyone even wanting Price is for another major problem and even then I still don’t think it happens since I don’t see Price agreeing to go anywhere. Who wants an 11m goalie? Maybe Buffalo for Skinner but I’d think even then you’d need to throw in more to entice Buffalo. -
Adam Fox: Norris Candidate? Adam Fox: Norris Candidate!
Keirik replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
This. No one in their right mind would ever entertain a swap of Fox for ADA or anything. One is a complete player and the other is ADA. But that doesn’t mean our pp or offense wouldn’t improve having both options. ADA didn’t just stumble his way into his offensive production. But whatever. What’s done is done. -

I think Fox gets more pp time because he’s on the team and ADA isn’t. There just isn’t another option whatsoever right now. -

Keirik replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
Fair enough. I suppose an argument can be made both ways. Ziby is vital as well obviously but ADA didn’t accidentally be second on the team in pp assists last year either. -

Keirik replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
That’s true but they get much less setup because of how crappy it is as well. I’m not trying to rehash the ADA stuff though. He’s done. Just that if he were a normal individual, we would be better with his on ice offensive talent in a pp1/pp2 scenario. When Fox is rolling you use him. When other player is, you use him instead. Or for a diff look both which is rare as you pointed out a while ago. -
oh god groan lol
