Even though technically Zibys year last year was better than Eichels, I think Eochel is the superior talent and a few years younger so you get another 5 years I guess of Eichel

How does that honestly make us better in the long run than we were last year with Ziby outperforming Eichel offensively? You're squeezing us more cap wise, getting about the same production as you got out of Ziby last year, thinning out our roster now talent wise, and handcuffing our future assets. Just stay the course and not worry about the shiny toy.

It's a shame too, if he were even what he was most of his career I'd be comfortable keeping him considering he probably signs for a bit less with covid cap around and takes the security. He's just been so awful though that if he ends up with a 10 goal 20 assist season it would be considered a step up from what he's doing now and then we start getting into the guessing game of which is the real Ziby.

I understand that and I do agree defensively, Ada was just shit, even moreso this year in his small sample size. He wasn’t very good last year but this year he took a real bad turn. I guess we will never know if that was a funk or the newer lowest denomination. He wasn’t that bad last year. Staal helped but with all the 3rd pairing rotations, you wonder if one guy might have stuck with ADA and made for a decent pair.
