You can also make a decent case for the offensive successes last year being less because of Quinn and more to do with the presence of Panarin more directly. Artemi was already a point pet game player well before Quinn and is just hitting his natural ceiling. It's not some revelation in Quinn's approach. Ziby you can make a case for. Maybe ADA but we all see how that eventually turned out anyway. Strome (im sorry Pete) is more directed at Panarin imo. Maybe Buch?

To make it worse, hit wise Trouba and Pionk arent even hugely far off from each other. Last year Trouba had 173 hits and Pionk had 165. This year is 48 for Trouba and 38 for Pionk. Not claiming Pionk is a bruiser or anything but he’s not exactly a push over either.

We are currently in step 0 of a 3 year tenure. It was never a good idea to have zero experience behind the bench with a large chunk of a team that has minimal experience on the ice and no actual leadership from the ones that do. It’s been a debacle. Even when we look at a team like Tampa that took so long to get to the top, a guy like Stamkos went through 3 coaches before Cooper got there. Melrose, Tocchet, Boucher, then Cooper. Thank Quinn for what he’s done and move on. It’s just time.

You can’t scratch ziby or realistically kreider or even Trouba. I’ve complained they aren’t help accountable while ADA has but I understand part of it from an xo standpoint. ADA is replaceable since he was so one dimensional. Ziby 100% is at his worst still a good “soldier” for everything else. Kreider...well, whatever. He could sit and I don’t see much of a difference. We have left wingers. Trouba is horrid but he’s still irreplaceable on this roster for his size and style even if he’s bad at it. We saw that tonight. Scary.

Everyone should be ready to pull the plug because what we accomplished last year was basically over a 6 or so week period in two sections of the season. The rest.......since three seasons ago, has been deja vu all over again regardless of personnel. The only constant is our clueless coach imo. We have a high skill team. We try to play like a bunch of lunch pail go to work players. This is why the usual “best players” are guys like PDG, Blackwell, or whoever fits into that mold (Fast). That’s an inducement on the coach. He has no experience. No fall back on ideology. So you have a guy that is too scared to let the team he has be the team he has and instead tries to mold them into the team he feels is harder to win against. Problem is, we aren’t the 2006 hard hitting bruising type team no one wants to play. We are closer to a high scoring give up 3 but score 6 team. A coach with experience embraces that and says let’s blow them out. A coach scared to coach in this league says what Quinn does...... We will never go anywhere with him.
