I think it does yeah. If person A looks at a specific race and makes a racist comment, its a clear as day comment. There is no mincing words. That person is a bigot. If person A instead says a homophobic comment to a heterosexual person which, unfortunately due to environment, upbringing, etc, still happens today, is just slightly different in my mind and likely why he was still drafted, still a professional hockey player, etc. I do get this is a cringe worthy topic but there was a time not very long ago that a word rhyming with maggot was used pretty commonly. Hell, i get called that sometimes in uniform by unhappy "customers" for lack of better term.

Not to downplay things but I've yet to see one article to confirm what ADA said was actually racist in nature as opposed to homophobic in context. I'm willing to see an article that goes on record but the things I've always heard was that it wasn't racist. I understand both are bad but a racist comment is different than a homophobic slang said by a 17 yr old that used to be thrown around before we became smarter as a society. Just because there are articles that say Tony d'racist doesn't make that factual. Just saying. But again, I'm willing to see some proof respectfully

The entire team is monkey balls statistically, sans a few and a stud rookie, and the last time our goalie made a key save was before covid existed. I’m not sure why ADAs stats should be singled out when plenty of other guys such as our darling Dj with long hair and his sidekick frank zappa get passes. I know I know, because they are friendlier about it.

The only team I really see a chance is Detroit, moreso because of Staals presence. If he was on board with being ADA friendly, Yzerman could potentially take him on. Not sure Yzerman wants that but still. They aren’t stacked on D at all.

There is definitely a lot of that too but it’s getting ignored. There aren’t a ton of teams that can actually take him so it’s not much of a case of “the entire nhl passed on him” kind of thing. When the Rangers buy him out, another team will pick him up on the cheap I’m sure next offseason.

To be perfectly honest, if that?s the plan, why even buy him out? They brought him back in for a contract that fit their future plans and it?s only two years. You?re almost better off just paying him these two years rather than buying out and dealing with dead cap, no?
