Well, it only works out in his favor if Columbus gets to a point where they dump him regardless. If they are in a thought process of waiting for what they feel his worth is, they may just let him rot until someone finally steps up with a fair offer. The fact that the organ-eye-zation hasn't reigned in Torts public comments makes me think they are willing to let PLD rot as long as necessary and not rush into anything.

I just think Torts had a way to squash it a bit when PLD signed. He still wanted a trade and signed to help push a trade forward. Torts should right there have said no comment from that day forward. Don’t through gasoline on a fire that had sorta calmed down. Might be nitpicking though. PLD should just keep his mouth shut and be the hard3st working player out there. Make himself more appealing to teams interested. This now is not a good look at all.

Torts making it public was just what I heard listening to Sirius the other day in an interview with one of their writers. Very well could be inaccurate. Regardless, he’s still been very publicly loud about it even moreso after the signing. Instead of just saying “no comment “ he says two games ago you’ll know when I bench someone...then goes out next game and benches him. Or he goes on a radio interview and publicly addresses PLD which handcuffs his team somewhat even more by adding fuel to it. Just unnecessary comments from a guy that we all know doesn’t give a flying fuck to help out the media or give them answers. Torts has changed. He’s a better manager but he’s still Torts to some degree.

So tonight was an easy meal that sounded a lot more complicated Chicken teriyaki soft tacos with apple cabbage slaw and grilled pineapple Chicken thighs marinated in teriyaki sauce overnight. I go with this. It’s a mix of teriyaki and bbq https://bachans.com/ So so good. Grill that up, rest, slice it up. A little thin than other store bought teriyaki so after done, you may need to drizzle some more. Add some sesame seeds. Same time, take sliced fresh pineapple, drizzle some honey, salt, lime juice, zest of the lime and grill as well. Any store bought tri color cabbage and a good slaw dressing which is easy to google or go store bought. Mayo based just to cut down on the saltiness of teriyaki. Add one sliced apple ( I went with pink lady but in the past I’ve done Granny Smith of Fiji) Shredded lettuce, small amount of cheese (I did double Gloucester, just something sharp) and drizzle a little sriracha if u like a tiny bit of spice. Perfect.

I don’t know. I think Torts, when he gets this way with a certain player or style, he is at a point where once he sees it then that’s it. I5 could be one shift. That player is done. We have seen it with Avery, Gaborik, I think Kreider at some point, now PLD, and I’m sure plenty of other guys I’ve forgotten. They are both wrong. More so PLD because the coach tells you what to do. However, iirc, Torts is the one to make this public, and now we are at a point where everyone is looking for Torts to do this. But at this point, you are handcuffing your own team and gm.
