You've Just Won the Lottery ? What Are You Still Refusing to Buy?
Keirik replied to Phil's topic in The Bar Room
Can’t it be sad that “subconsciously” if what you are saying is true is you’re kind of making it sound like without white people city schools are doomed? Kind is smacks of saying blacks are somewhat inferior since city schools struggle the second whites leave. I’m sorry, your whole argument doesn’t hold anything factual. To me, it sounds more like you have a pet peeve of leaving where you’ve come from and have convinced yourself into thinking there is some noble reason behind it. Maybe you specifically just you know, like a city environment instead? -

There are some entire towns in the suburbs that are extremely bi, tri, quad racially diverse especially in Long Island. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but this is just way off base here imo. It’s just always been the proto typical “American dream” to carve out your own niche somewhere, get the white picket fence, oogle over your lawn, Let your dog roam free in the backyard, and have something you call your own. As far as I know, that goes for every color person. Not everyone wants that but many many maaaaany do. -

I just see it as a stop gap and not part of any long term planning. -
Jesus Christ I just looked at the Yankees roster. Sanchez is batting .131 I’m pretty sure I can do that lol
-
Funny thing too, I thought of you last night when I saw the score flash across the screen where the Yankees scored a few touchdowns lol

Maybe. But he’s 35. He had an awesome year 3 years ago but has started to show some signs of age. He’s better than what they had but I wouldn’t think he’s going to make a huge impact at 35+. We shall see I guess. At least he will bring leadership. -
What Do You Do Confidently Now That Made You Feel Weird/Nervous in the Past?

Wow. Very powerful stuff. I admire your ability to overcome and survive. There’s a special place for anyone that has been through everything you have. -

People of every color, creed, whatever move to the suburbs and it has nothing to do with getting away from color, creed, whatever. There are a few top school districts in the Bronx that are well sought after. But to each his or her own I guess. I like my land, nice school district, quiet evenings, letting kids run in car-less streets, not sharing walls with other apartments, etc. I grew up off Steinway street in Queens until ,y parents were able to afford a house of our own. -

Is Kreider Going to be the Next Captain of the Team?
Keirik replied to NYR2711's topic in New York Rangers
I mean yeah, he only went to BC, speaks 3 languages, and I think finished his education over the summer after playing for the Rangers. I’m sure he really majored in hockey but we aren’t talking about some juicehead with a 40 IQ -

He is but those are just the rumors I heard on some of those radio shows. https://www.espn.com.au/nhl/story/_/id/29863337/source-golden-knights-handshake-agreement-robin-lehner-new-contract Can’t imagine they keep both but who knows. -

I could be wrong but listening to nhl shows on Sirius, there’s a lot of chatter that Lehner is going to re-up and the Knights are trading Fleury -

Keirik replied to Phil's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
I mean 6m cap hit til he’s 34. He’s good but that’s a bit strange considering they also have Suter until he’s like 40 and Spurgeon til 35. Dumba might have just become available. After next year they do have a bunch of rfas -

I don’t think I could ever live without Sirius at this point. At work it’s a life saver to listen to games, nhl talk, news, whatever. -

[brooks] Rangers to Add "Muscle and Grit" for Next Season
Keirik replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
It’s weird though. I get the feeling Buch has another gear he refuses to go to for whatever reason. Like one year something is going to happen to him where he snaps and just goes off. Probably in another sweater but still lol -

Keirik replied to LindG1000's topic in New York Rangers
It’s all good. We can agree to disagree. Still both fans of the same team. :). Just my personal opinion is that all that ‘was talked about with Kakko didn’t measure up in analytics. Also just the eye test thus far, he’s slow, not a good skater, doesn’t make decisions on an nhl, and is pretty clueless in his own zone. He’s very young so hopefully a lot improves and he did look much better after the restart so we shall see. -

That’s fair. But you can have him probably for around 1m, won’t complain about 4th lie minutes, can give ziby a break pk wise and still managed 15 points in 39 games last year. Plus he’s been here already so come full circle. Just makes sense to me. -
