  1. it more seems like their philosophy is if they trade all of their picks it up the waste any gas going to draft day LOL
  2. He is so much more important to our offense than we want to admit. Opens up so many more areas.
  3. Found this little vid very short insight to what pressure is riding for ALF.
  4. Btw anyone remember original Xbox had an nhl game where Sam and JD were the announcers? NhHL Rivals 2004 lol
  5. Yes! Played the crap out of the last one in 04 I guess
  6. If you believe in Trocheck I wonder if you can trade back their later first for him. He’s over 50% in draws and costs under 5m for the next two seasons, which is likely less than Strome will cost.
  7. A lot of guys do custom covers if you have a nice photo printer. Its kind of silly but its stiill a bit f un i guess. I usually buy the game every other year usually around sale time.
  8. lol yeah, not a good representation to that series. 2k5-2k8 years were pretty good. Had its issues too but it at least tried to play a sim style hockey. EA definitely needs competition. They've shown time and time again that they're more interested in buying out competition rather than making a product worthy of ignoring competition.
  9. It’s crazy right? EA sucks. Did u ever play 2ks nhl game back in the day? It had potential. EA revolutionized with the skill stick then just stopped trying
  10. !!!ALL NEW !!!first time since NHL 04
  11. Yeah I got a nice warning. First one in like 5+ years lol even though there are posts afterwards encouraging the guy but whatever.
  12. Plays in the Swiss league now. Man his career tanked
  13. I have a feeling that’s pretty accurate, unless they pry a Cirelli or Kerfoot that’ll cost less.
  14. I’m in the mindset of trying to keep ADA for a 2-3 year deal, around 5m per. If we do that, after next season as it is right now we have 45m in cap space. With ADA it’s 40m. Obviously that’s a bit skewed because a 2nd line center still needs a resolution which might set some of that unless we do a one year to Strome. Next offseason we have Chytil, Shesh, Lindgren, Howden, Buchnevich, Gauthier all as RFAs. You figure at least 3-4 of them make strides that justify decent bridge deals. The worst things we could do though now is overpay a 2c and ADA to a point where next offseason we have to say goodbye to developing guys because of a flat cap again.
  15. Really is anyone paying attention to any story coming out of Arizona, or Phoenix, or whatever they call theMselves these days. Hard pass.
  16. You’re not going to find exact numbers, but any cap hit of 5m+ is a pretty significant cap hit especially in the goaltending position. Also Henrik played 30 games as well. There isn’t much difference betweeen 30 and 36 games. Also, you left out Schneider who played a whopping 13 games for 6m. Also, how is it different to say the Panthers knew what they were getting when they traded for Luongo, but the Rangers didn’t when they are the ones to give Henrik his contract? You can’t have it both ways. The point is, there are other teams with similar issues. It’s just part of life in a cap world. One more year. The Blackhawks just finally got out of a 6m cap hit of Crawford when prior to this past season he played 28 and 38 games the last two years. Also, starter or not, Bob has a 10m cap hit and an atrocious season in his FIRST year of a 7 year deal that goes until he is 37. You don’t think the tail end of that contract is going to be crippling? How sbout Seabrook in Chicago? Guy has nearly a 7m cap hit until he’s 39 and he had 4 points this year. Plenty of teams have one or two contracts that are cringe worthy. It’s just the nature of the beast.
