article: Zuccarello: Handling of Lundqvist "Disrespectful"
Keirik replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
I’m not trying to suggest Georgie is better than Igor. We both know though that a million things can happen. Hell, imagine if his car accident went a different way? The most games Shesh has ever played in a pro league though is 39 games back in 16/17 and we know a good amount of younger European players tire a bit until they get more accustomed to a larger schedule. Still think a tandem of Shesh 65% / Georgie 35% is much much better than Hank being involved or any veteran backup especially with Allaire as their specific coach. -

If they keep Hank in favor of getting rid of Georgiev I think they most definitely are. How can anyone know Georgiev’s exact value and potential when he is only 24 years old with around 80 career games on a team in transition? This isn’t a defensive powerhouse that shelters goalies. They average the second highest shots against per game this season and the highest per game average over the last 3 seasons. Goalies usually develop a lot slower than position players. It’s way too early to decide where a Georgie lands on his final potential but I’ll say this. The future of the organization is better off with a goalie tandem of two 24 year old NHL ready goalies than they are getting rid of one -

On of the biggest mistakes any organization in transition could make is to romanticize an aging veteran well past his prime. Save that shit for his HOF ceremony. -

Honestly, why do we care what Zucc said? I know he was our favorite little hobbit but in the end he was a 50-60 point niche player. The fans version of a Torts Dubi love. He’s trying to defend his friend, even if he is wrong. The Henrik retirement party has to end at some time. -
NHL "Pauses" Season Due to Coronavirus; "Hopes to Resume"
Keirik replied to Phil's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
Let’s say they did do this....how do they plan on stopping die hards from traveling to the cities just be “be a part of this” Also what do they plan on doing the second one gets sick? Sorry your starting goalie is out for 3 weeks with a cough. Or how about the fact that there are people testing positive that never get a fever at all? -

article: Lias Andersson Talks About What Went Wrong
Keirik replied to Morphinity 2.0's topic in New York Rangers
If I had to guess. Probably about 90% of every professional athlete in every sport. What “we” as internet posters not in the situation have experienced is irrelevant. As someone that has lived on the other side of the world at a young age and spoke none of the language, I can empathize. However, that’s a regular occurrence for a large portion of pro athletes so with the idea of playing professionally comes a huge responsibility he’s failed to live up to mostly because he seems more like a mental midget than the rest of his counterparts. -

NHL "Pauses" Season Due to Coronavirus; "Hopes to Resume"

They aren’t playing hockey again for the season -
I’m a believer in buying out Hank as I’ve said many times here but let’s also keep one thing in mind. If you buy him out this offseason a chunk of that saved money will be used to retain Georgie in RFA. You figure at least 2m at arbitration, possibly more. Another way to go that could save face a bit is use Georgie in a trade to entice a team to still get a young cost effective goalie but take on Smiths salary at team same time. Savings equal pretty much what you get if you do that as opposed to buying out Hank.

[brooks] The Silver Lining to Brendan Lemieux’s Disappointing Rangers Season
Keirik replied to Scott's topic in New York Rangers
He’s not going to command a lot of money, comes from a good pedigree, is young, and shows some spark. If you can do a 2-3 year deal where he doesn’t break the bank at all then why the hell not? 1.25 x 3 and see if you are lucky enough to have him grow above his pay grade. If not, it’s 1.25m. -
It’s not so much me as it’s Roenick. He’s good.

Thinking maybe to get back into hockey card collecting. Any tips? Looking for unopened packs and a box of them but not newest year so I can see older cards that have more meaning to me. What should I look for? -
[brooks] Rangers Locking Up Tony DeAngelo is Far From No-Brainer
Keirik replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
To me getting rid of ADA Because of the presence of Fox makes as much sense as saying get rid of Strome because we have Howden. I get it, Fox is a lot more advanced but still. aDA offensively is elite. There is no way right now to know if Fox will 100% take that next step and he’s under contract for quite a wHile longer. Longvenligh to bridge ADA and see where we are by 2023 -
[brooks] Rangers Locking Up Tony DeAngelo is Far From No-Brainer
Keirik replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
In terms of a hockey world, you can make a case that this ending of the season helps the Rangers in keeping ADA for the next 3-4 years in a tad bit team friendly way contract wise. If he was sniffing closer to 70 points ....... I suppose you could make the argument the other way too but a guy making under 1m this year might take 5.5m for 3-4 years more so than if the full season played out. As I’ve said before, u lose ADA and you lose a lot offensively even from other guys. He’s a threat other teams can’t ignore. Has to stay. -

First day off in 8 days. 84 hour work week last week. Dodged coughs and bacteria a plenty lol. Don’t have to worry about killing boredom when I’m barely home -
Being at the game on Long Island for the Rangers first game there in like 5 years. Kreider winning it with seconds left. Close second being in Chicago to see the Rangers score 5 with my fiance and have a beer with Phillyb lol
