  1. Just read the play by play captions. Problem solved. Your welcome.
  2. At least I know why you’re so argumentative now lol
  3. You know, I never thought about that lol. I think we will start trying though next fall so I’ll understand it eventually lol
  4. These late game starts suck for those of us that have to wake up at 5 lol
  5. I think Hank and Geo give about the same as well. The only difference I see is the age and one has the chance to trend up while the other is in his swan song. Unless you have a handshake agreement where Hank agrees to sign new 1m contracts on a yearly basis afterwards but I don’t think the organization really wants that just because of there was an injury to Shesh again, they’ve already shown they don’t plan to turn to a 38 year old Hank so why would they turn to a 39,40...etc Hank.
  6. It really would be nice to have a good easy feel good win. Way too early for that though now.
  7. Well Messier yes, the second time. They did once not welcome him back when free agency hit for him. The barometer never changed. The barometer is that no one is above the team. It’s always been that way. It’s been that was around the entire league sans very very few. You can make the argument that yes, Henrik does partly deserve to be in that select few, but I just don’t see it working out that way. Look, Henrik doesn’t have to retire. He could could agree to a trade and control where he goes if there are takers with us probably retaining salary so that means goodbye someone else. I also think his presence though is partly a distraction especially next year unless they trade Georgies rights this offseason, but how is that better for the Rangers? No way they do this next year like it is this year.
  8. I think everyone, at least here and in the circle most of us know, understand and appreciate everything Henrik has done here. It is very unfortunate that it has come to this. Some of us just disagree on what to do next. I’m obviously in the camp of it’s just his time to step aside here because it’s clear to me that the future of this organization doesn’t include him. As I’ve said in another thread, I saw Leetch traded when he was our Conn Smythe cup winning best defenseman this team had ever known. Time stops for no one. It’s sad but it is what it is.
  9. I don’t know, when he does play I don’t see him getting booed around MSG. I still see plenty of Lundqvist jerseys and the team still dresses him pretty much every game. We seriously are worrying about what trolls say on the internet? Does anyone think on Henrik Lundqvist day his speech will be filled with disappointment of what jackass123 said on Twitter?
  10. I’m going on the premise that this technically is ADAs first full nhl season, or partially second considering last years was cut short. I don’t remember exactly when the others signed exact deals but most of those had more prior time than just a prior “journeyman” on his third nhl organization and first real full season. Some of those examples are not comparable since they are very established nhl players. Carlsson, Trouba, OEL, Faulk all have a lot more time under their belt with their contracts. Nurse is a pretty good comparison and Fowler. Nurse though I think is a different type of player and even he has more actual years of experience. Maybe you’re right. Who knows. I just think ADA is in a bit of a weird situation. 3rd organization, is fairly one dimensional and on the smaller side, still is an RFA, doesn’t even make 1m yet, and wants to be here. I still think you can get him for the 5-6m range until the age of 28 or so and sell it to him 4 years in an organization on the upswing where he wants to be and take him right into a payday when he’s still under 30.
  11. 4 years x 5. Why limit yourself to a 1 or 2 years when you run the risk of not being able to keep him if he puts up another 60 point season? If you are going to kick the can down the road, you kick it far enough down where you at least get a nice 3-4 year period of his prime, then let him go if he turns into a Karlsson and commands way more than an offensive only D is worth. By that point, Fox is at where ADA now development wise and probably just finishing his first year on whatever RFA contract we just signed him for. If we have a log jam at D 3 years from now, we should have a very tradeable ADA with a fairly reasonable rate to entice teams and fill a hole we might have elsewhere for a cup run. I think we really downplay his importance on offense to the whole team and not just himself. I’m not saying he is Panarin, but he is a danger out there, makes other offensive players better, and commands enough attention to keep the opposition honest. To be honest, he is not great defensively but considering he’s playing with Staal, I think it’s a bit harsh. Staal is far worse and just whoever his replacement is going to be much better and improve ADA defensively too.
  12. Really sucks. I didn’t get to watch too much of the game because of work but I’ve said a few times, playoffs are so important to this team THIS year just do that hump is reached and next year it’s more expected. Wale the F up boys
  13. i think the mission is to make the playoffs and see what happens from there. I don't see the harm in starting him. It's not like a pitching shoulder or something like that where it could be damaged further
  14. Being charged with that basically means “charged with being a drunken douche after being asked multiple times to stfu”
