  1. I hate when they will call 1 and 1 for a trip if they feel a player lets himself fall easily but they want do a 1 and 1 when a player is clearing holding his stick during the hook.
  2. I really don't know Mt think Georgiev is going anywhere. Hank isn't going to be on this team next year imo
  3. The salary cap goes up pretty much every year. Not a huge amount but it does. Also, there should be a decent cap increase when the NHL signs it’s new tv deal. 6.5m in 4+ years won’t be too bad at all, even if he is more of a 20 goal scorer rather than pushing 30 goals. Plus as I already said, 4 years or so from now we better be in the finals or have won regardless. This rebuild isnt forever and we have the pieces.
  4. I’m just saying, Georgie and hanks stats are pretty damn close. I’m not saying to start Hank and let him give up 5 a game. I’m saying to turn to our veteran cup finals goalie one last time FIRST and let him the opportunity to grab the reigns right now when they need him most. While I don’t agree the team owes him his swan song next year, I do think they owe him this opportunity that’s presented itself now. He’s going to be bought out next year, traded, or retire. I’m sure of that. This right here could be the difference between him going out on his terms vs it being that bitter divorce we are headed towards. Even Georgiev would 100% understand this.
  5. By 2025 if we haven’t gotten to a cup final or won a cup, we have bigger problems than Kreiders 1.8m extra cap space. Wtf are we playing for if not a cup with Ziby, Kreider, Bread, et al ?
  6. Spot on. They retained a very important t piece that had leadership and has been to a cup, rid themselves of a redundant contract, and got a 1st. Literally we won the trade deadline imo
  7. We managed to keep him around for less than a 2m raise. I can?t see this being anything but good. We don?t lose him or try to fill the void of losing him. Also, as others said, ridding ourselves of a d contract in our surplus area really helps.

  9. Possibly, but I have enough confidence in the competitive nature of the franchises best goalie to think he knows this is his last minute under the spotlight at MSG. Athletes have a funny way of grasping the moment, especially a special one like Hank. It would be some story.
  10. I don?t see why not. Turn to the old vet one last time. Give him these 5 minutes of shine during a playoff run. He does deserve this now. It?ll answer two question, one for himself and one for the NHL. Does he still have anything left to the Rangers? Does he have anything left for the NHL? I think if he turns around and shits the bed we look at him possibly retiring. If he shines, he is still going to have the same offseason conversation with the team but at least the rest of the NHL sees what he can still give. To me, it?s almost playing out perfectly and if they turn and buy him out this summer, having him play these 2-3 weeks really can bring some closure to his tenure here. Let this team rally behind this. Thoughts?
  11. Very good day. We increased our cap but less than 2m and kept an important piece all while getting rid of one contract from a surplus position.
  12. Now try to lock up ADA for a bit longer for a tad more money and reap the benefits when he’s an underpaid 60 point D
