Fuhgeddaboudit
Has anyone ever used the TurboTax app? It says you can scan your W2 and all other forms and it'll send the pictures/results to the IRS, etc. I'm worried about using it and all and this is the first time I'm filing my own taxes. Dane
I used TurboTax last year (not by smartphone though), since last year was my first time filing taxes. I went through their website and it was pretty easy to go through. And this year I can just retrieve my info from last year and just update as necessary. Don't know how I would feel about scanning the tax forms with a phone though. Probably wouldn't do it.

Because I don't understand how the app is free but people buy the turbotax program. I'm assuming once you send the pictures to the app, they charge you later when everything is done. Myusername
Honestly, why bother? If you're in in NYC just go to one of the VITA tax preparation sites and get your taxes done there for free. You might have to wait a little, but it's certainly better than guessing if your refund was correct.
