Patrick Bateman
This is the most excited i've been about any offseason moves related to my teams ever. He's going to be an incredible owner, im so excited
Drew a Penalty
Definitely excited to see pieces added to the current core and to potentially not waste DeGrom's efforts.
Parsley
This city needed news like this (on the sports front) Hopefully the Rangers and Mets (we know that Yanks are always in contention) have a great decade ahead. Heck, maybe we can get him interested in hockey too. (Hey - I didn't realize one of the Apollo Group founders (Harris) was part owner of the Devils. It was mentioned in today's WSJ article.) https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-433-billion-wall-street-giant-has-a-reputation-problem-its-josh-harriss-job-to-fix-it-11604116827?mod=hp_lista_pos2

Sharpshooter
This is one of the best things to ever happen to the Mets. I'm not kidding and I don't think I'm overexaggerating either. I'm not even a Mets fan, but it's good to see them get dedicated ownership that will pull no punches. He's already off to a great start just by dumping all of that staff. Patrick Bateman
Wow, that press conference was amazing. Almost too many quotes to list out. I didn't think I could get more excited about this, but that press conference had me even more giddy

Parsley
If Mr. Bateman is giddy, then I'm giddy. :slats: Meanwhile, down here in Phillyland, from a few weeks back: https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/phillies/bad-news-phillies-mlb-approves-new-mets-owner-steve-cohen If this Cohen guy gains control of the Mets, they could become a real, um, beast. And that’s not necessarily good news for the Philllies. Or the Braves. Or the Nationals. Or the Marlins......

Sharpshooter
Theo Epstein just stepped down from his position with the Cubs. I bet Cohen goes after him hard. He would be a great addition to the Mets' front office.

Dunny
Yeah, it's surprising Lindor went for do little, thankfully for the Mets, as they don't have a farm system to speak of.
