Rangers, Shesterkin "Getting Close' on Long-Term Deal Worth $5.75–6 Million Per Year

Yes, but he's more likely to sign another six-year deal when this is up as a veteran starter that'll more than make up for the money he left on the table. If he signs to 33, he's probably looking at a much shorter-term extension.

In 6 years Panarin, Mika, Kreids, Trouba, (Strome, goodrow) will be at the end of their careers, so it would make sense with a little «re-tool» at that point tho.

That's more of my point. You will be retooling after losing some really significant parts in 6 years. And if all these kids pan out, there will be a massive cap issue by then. Just say all the kid defenders are "legit", can't pay for everyone.

Yup. There's a clear "hand the baton" feeling to the middle of the 2020s when the NMCs on Trouba and Kreider expire and Panarin's contract is up and the kids are starting to hit the mid 20s.
