RichieNextel305
No mention on Parise or Zajac? Widely assumed both will be joining (or in Zajac’s case, staying with) the Isles.

RichieNextel305
Nevermind. Just saw this. Add Parise to the mix too. He’s an Islander. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2021/09/01/zach-parise-confirms-hes-signing-with-islanders/amp/
Sod16
I'm dumbfounded. How do they get Cizikas at a 25 percent pay cut? It's not as if he's a lower profile player than he was when he signed the last one. And how can they pay him that when Goodrow is getting 3.6 per? I can understand taking a modest discount to stay with the same team, but Cizikas, who is not going to retire a rich man, is taking a very big discount and could no doubt have gotten 3.5 on the open market. Two years from now, if not sooner, the Palmieri contract will be a lodestone. Parise is basically done, and anything they pay him is dead cap space. Keirik
Really liking what the Isles are doing this offseason and Seattle helped them by not taking Bailey. Going to be a very interesting year.
