Laf had one nice play that one time and Kakko hasn't showed anything special in 2.1 seasons. They've shown no elite vision, no elite shot, no top-end hockey IQ... not to mention the skating. They are just JAGs.

feels like no one is teaching these kids the NHL game.  kinda left them to figure it out for themselves.  For some it works, for some maybe it doesnt.  But there's definitely a pattern of suckage

LaFreniere just turned 20 and has played less than 70 games

Kakko isn’t 21 for another 4 months and has played less than 125 games.

While I’ll certainly agree that they need more from these 2, it’s unrealistic to expect immediate dominance or big time contributions early on, regardless of draft position or pedigree. 

Everyone relax. 
 

Let’s see where they are both at by the end of this season and then again at this time next year.
