I admit I was like, "Stone hands Kreider in the shootout?" but he's been good so far, we always said he'd be a top player if he was more consistent.

I swear, when I saw Kreider going I was pissed. How many breakaways (fucking painful) have we seen him miss? And penalty shots too! But good God, sick move. Sick finish. Great game, great weekend.

Nice to see Kakko come to life. Georgiev was rough but hopefully persevering through the shootout with key saves at the end gets his head straight for once.

Hopefully this is a big confidence booster for Kakko and even Georgiev. I wasn't thrilled with Georgiev's start overall, but he showed some battle there in the shootout.

Honestly, getting back to the 3 v 3, Trouba can’t be out there anymore. Hell, play Lundkvist. It’s a skilled time. Possession, skill,  and vision. Trouba has none of that. Fox on first unit, Lundkvist on second unit.

Lafreniere continues to be the master of putting pucks into open nets. 

Another game, though, where the opposition looked a step ahead, although I thought the Rangers did well for a good portion of the game. They got too soft in the last few minutes.

Trouba's pinches would be good if he had the speed to backcheck after them. He makes the right play, it's just that he doesn't have the requisite skill.
