Suspension/Fine Neal Pionk Suspended Two Games for Knee-on-Knee Hit to Rasmus Sandin

Pionk has incidental knee on knee with Sandin (Toronto) while attempting to throw a full body check leading with his shoulder. 

 

Spezza then runs over Pionk while on all fours trying to clear a puck and puts his knee through Pionks head.

 

Pionk got 2 games (unwarranted) and Spezza is getting a hearing.

game was a gongshow and refs lost control

 

I think the Pionk play honestly deserves the 2 games. If they call the penalty on the ice, the issues of the rest of game don't happen

How Matthews got a matching minor penalty while getting absolutely mugged out there is ridiculous. Refs are 100% to blame for how that game went

Pionk most certainly deserved to be suspended for that hit.

Yea? His shoulder was in front of him leading into that hit. Sandin left his knee out there. It looked incidental to me while trying to throw a check. Regardless, Spezza tried to put his knee through Pionks head. So dirty... im going with 5 games at least.

Regardless of Pionk deserving his punishment, Spezza was a horribly dirty play in its own right
