QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:

“It’s no different than your top line going out there, scoring three goals and getting a power-play goal. They play their role real good. They work hard, compete hard, play a lot of the time in the other team’s zone and finishing checks. Everybody knows their role.”

-  Gerard Gallant on the fourth line

Ok, this will be a new challenge for the team but you have to start thinking too, that other teams seeing us on their schedule, that we’re becoming the formidable foe. I like that role.

Came in here to say this. COL is 13-7-2. I know we’re going into their arena, I know theyre tough, and I know they have MacKinnon, but the talk of this being a test game…yes it will be, for COL.

This is the third day in a row or so that I keep thinking this game is in Colorado. lol I just thought with the travel logistics they would just head down to Denver after being in Chicago, so that's kind of odd. Colorado has been averaging about five goals a game for a little over a week now, so this is a huge test for the defense and Georgiev. They have goaltending issues themselves too right now.

After last night’s game im sitting on a can and thinking, maybe Gorton knew something when he gave Trouba an $8M a year contract?

I never really had a problem with the Trouba deal. He wasn't brought in to create offense. He was brought in to be a stalwart D man, who is steady and stable in their own end. We hadn't really had anything like that since what...prime Girardi? Staal?

So yeah, sure, maybe he's overpaid when you compare salary to points percentage, but he's still solid and that contract should look great right about now and hopefully for its duration. We'll see.

Disclaimer - I also didn't have a problem with the Hayes deal in Philly.
