Shut down the other team 3rd line was noticeable. 4th line was awesome. Goodrow makes that line awesome. Even if Washington wasn't great themselves, it's good to beat them. Their division record is great and they haven't even played Pittsburgh yet, another tough batch of games down the stretch. It's hard to rain on the parade of such a good effort (however abetted by a listless Caps team) but Strome's two needless penalties at the 20 minute marks were typical. Igor being Igor, finally getting some 5v5 production, Laf with an apple(!!), Goat looked decent in the extended highlights, Kreids back on track, the real 4th line finally back together and giving the depth production we need. Also Penguins lost - perfect night. Now get the W on saturday and start building a gap down to Pit/Was.
