This falls on the NHL. We played fine. An absolute utter disgrace and should be called out. Refs like this should be sent home for the summer; not paid to ref playoff games. These guys work too hard to have games decided by, for lack of a better term, idiots who know Jack shit about hockey.

Sorokin played insanely well. We weren't lacking chances or playing poorly. You can absolutely put part of this loss on the refs and league who continues to allow poor officiating without accountability.

Neither Islander goal should have counted. First one the ref missed the Lee crosscheck which would have negated the PP. Second one obvious elbow to Lindgren just before the goal. Worst officiating of the year but very satisfied with Rangers compete level.

Refs have been awful all year, but that was egregious. Pretty good game all around and Vatrano gives me more hope for that 2nd line to do some more than it has.

Yeah, officiating is a problem but geez, Rangers shouldn’t be 1-1 late to a team of the Islanders’ caliber.  Period.  Second time they’ve dropped points to a team they should beat handily if they expect to go deep in the playoffs.  Shoulda been able to get up for this one.  They didn’t.

That Lafreniere penalty was clown shit. Then they let Lindgren get jawed like that?

Beyond looking at what the refs did (or didn’t do) Sorokin absolutely stole this win for his team. Entertaining hockey.

The Rangers can keep “playing fine”, but one goal is not going to win many games. They should not get to the point, where a goal in the last couple of minutes beats them. 

 

During the whole game, this loss was hanging around despite how well the Rangers played. Did they deserve to loose the game? That’s arguable at best…

I'll wait for the detailed reports to come out, but Rangers only had two more shots than isles.
