This team just owns the Rangers, plain and simple. That core group has a hatred for us and gets up to play us and we just don’t play well against them. Better hope they don’t rebound next year, because this team is one of those teams that would relish beating the shit out of us in a playoff series.

That, plus they've had goaltenders over the years whom the Rangers have always struggled to score against in Halak and Varlamov. Too small of a sample size with Sorokin, but he's a good counter in the future to our Russian goalie.

Gallant needs to remind this team about their level of preparedness for these rivalry games. We still have games with these idiots, NJ and Philly left. All 3 are out and dead, but they will play hard and for pride and the rivalry factor is always there, regardless of standings. They have been very unprepared for rivalry games this year and it’s gotta stop.
