Beautiful, looks like a good time with those lines. What's not to like? Although might as well play Georgiev too.

It will be interesting to see what way they go , if they park some of the turds to try and bring most of the regulars back minus maybe Panarin and Copp to turn some of the momentum around and set a tone for the playoffs coming off three loses.

Have to imagine Georgiev gets this one again.

And really, judging by what I just watched on TV, that team is going to get slaughtered next week. I think Ovechkin is far less fine than what is being led on. That guy doesn’t sit or rest when the games mean something, like they still do. He was in discomfort when he went down. I wonder if his shoulder is really banged up. Again, I do expect him to play next week. But, if he’s not at 100%, the Caps go no where.

That being said, I’d prefer to not deal with a salty Tom Wilson and the theater that might bring. I’d still prefer to whiny Penguins.

Another "who gives a shit" game....Recall all of Hartford and let 'em rock the Caps!

Trivia answer is Mike Gartner

Going for 82 consecutive "Ozzy Quote of the GDT".... LOL

So make 'em count tonight, boys!!   ...and make 'em funny!

Caps and Pens are cumulatively 0-7 in their last seven playoff series, counting the 2020 play in round.  These are teams in decline.

Start Geo.  I'd rather Sheshty be a tad rusty after a week off in Game 1 than have Wilson taking runs at him tomorrow night.

Would bet that some combo of Laf, Miller, Goodrow, Strome, maybe Schneider sit this one and some of the big boys come back for a measured skate. Either way the cookie crumbles, we should be okay for Round 1. Caps get pretty thin down the lineup. Agree that if Ovi is ailing, it would likely scuttle that whole ship. Pens have significant guns but we have proven that they can be largely silenced. So just hope for a Reavo-Wilson throw down and drink up. I probably won't even watch as I'm going to need all the family cred I can scrounge to go every other night for at least a month.

I say bring on the Caps in the first round. I knownthat means lose this game but who cares. No oke is playing. Drury semi built this team exactly to combat the Capitals. Embrace that shit and slaughter them.

They need help in addition to beating us. If Pittsburgh wins tonight, it’s us and them. Washington shit the bed in both Islander games.

I really wonder if Ovechkin is hurt more than they’re leading on.

Valley postulated in the post-game the other night that "the two coaches just might have a call together" to decide whether to sit guys or play for broke. You buying that? He mentioned a similar conversation between team's players during warm-ups. On one hand I believe it happens, on the other, really? What do you say?

Nope. Turk was non-committal but indicated that some of the skaters who sat out last game would be returning so let's see.

I'm clinging on by a thread in my fantasy finals so let's hope lol

Kind of hard. You need good players to get you there then they sit. Guy I'm playing lucked hisnway in but has a lot of guys out of the playoffs so they aren't resting.

Enrico Ciccone and Dale Hunter for trivia.

Sam does an 8 ball of coke in the first period and shits himself right before the intermission. A loud ripping doody blast can be heard during the broadcast. Sam doesn't miss a beat. Joe throws up. Twice.

Gauthier beats the living shit out of Tom Wilson and wins everyone's heart. A parade is thrown for the beating (this summer of course,  not during the game duh, be realistic) and a statue is erected outside of MSG (possibly during the game). Heroin addicts have MORE sex/masterbate/ass eating than usual outside of the arena due to how awesome the memory of our (your) new heros big day.

Gauthier has his number retired next season, becoming the first player to have his number retired before his career is even over.

Kakko gets an interference penalty at 3:22 of the 2nd period.

Lundqvist admits he is mad the fans fell in love with Shestyorkin so quickly.  Feels sad all day long every day.

Kakko gets a shot on goal tonight.

Gauthier gets another breakaway....and misses again making him 0-18 in his career on them.

Hunt scores 4 in preparation for a Conn Smyth playoff run

Georgiev plays so good he takes over the #1
