We've had 1 PP and that was only because the penalty was so obvious(broken stick) that they had to call it. We're never gonna get a holding, cross-checking or slashing call.

Exactly. Not playing their game  Trying to be physical when they really aren't a physical team, sans 4th line. 

 

I understand trying to bring energy and trying to have that energy resonate up through the lineup,  but they aren't built for it or it's not catching on.

 

Everyone is shitting on Panarin,  but Zibanejad is pretty invisible and extremely soft so far in the series. Atleast Panarin is generating offense. Getting nothing from Zibanejad.
