Zibanejad was electric. Powerplay looked murderous. Defense looked pretty strong. This is a team that felt the pain of losing and never wants it again.

FWIW I thought the chant was incredibly dumb to do in a playoff series when the Rangers had been walking all over them. Bulletin board material. But first game of the year? It’s a fun chant. Fuck em.

They literally looked like a team that has been in camp for 2 months together. They know each other very well and each other’s tendencies. Definitely the makings of a monster year IMO. They looked scary good.

They were sloppy the first couple of minutes or so but high flying after that. There was some big dick energy out there.
