Bro, you’re better than that. There is zero reason to use the word dumb concerning an opinion.

He’s on the team for a reason. He’s put out there the following shift for a reason. I don’t even necessarily care that he didn’t fight but he was not put out there with Gallant saying “whatever you do, don’t fight right now.”  It’s still early enough in a game to send a message. And if you are worried about him fighting with nearly 30 min minutes left in the game between the 8 minutes left in the 2nd and 20 of the 3rd in game 16 in the season, then you might as well never dress the dude again.

gallant doesn’t have to say not to fight because everyone that’s every player knows how dumb it is

it was a momentum and team killer. Sure, there’s still time, but again, you can’t say I’m wrong.

I’ll tell you for the last time. Stop using digs at the poster when giving your opinion. I don’t care if it’s me or anyone else. Your opinion can be given without the diatribe. I disagree with your opinion and I’m part of the “everyone that’s ever played” group. I’m sure you have too. Hell, most of us probably did in different levels and we’ve all been around the game for large parts of our lives.

Gallant does not put out his one pure fighter on the team in that shift unless he’s okay with the possibility of a fight. No one, including me, said he had to fight. No one said he needs to take a dumb penalty. But there are times where there’s still plenty of clock left if the opportunity arises to really send a message.
