Why is the rangers play so unstructured recently?

 

It feels like they are playing pickup street hockey some nights.

That takes discipline. Neither the players, nor the coach are willing to do what it takes to make that a reality.

It's insane though.  This is a vet team with a vet coaching staff.  How have things gotten so out of control?

I'm not sure any of us can answer that, but I think it'd be a good guess that 50% of your lineup having a nmc probably isn't healthy.
