Bugg
If the Hughes brothers aren't playing, Sam Rosen is not going to Newark.

jsm7302
That was one of the worst games I've ever attended. I didn't go in with high hopes but I swear I've seen better high school games. The passing was HORRENDOUS.

Pete
Not a fan of the way any of the Rangers "hopefuls" played down in the game. Mancini and Berard were just OK. Othmann took the night off. I had high hopes for him, but somewhere between last season and today it's become apparent that he's not engaged enough on the regular basis to be an impact NHL player, and going back to Junior nobody's really figured out how to get him engaged on the nightly basis. The consistency of his effort shift to shift and night tonight is severely lacking. He's gotta flip that switch or he'll wind up a Max Talbot or Ian Lapereriere type, just without the motor. Berard and Mancini were the only ones that had some hands, skill and effort. Rough showing altogether though. Edstrom and Othmann are not making the roster. Ozzy
Othmann looks like he's definitely learning from Kreider. Pretty much coasted his way through that game. Quick was about the best player on the ice last night. I guess we can look forward to this type of game when we give Igor 77% of the cap. 1

This was a game he should have made a statement and he was no where to be found. Edited October 1 by JHS
RJWantsTheCup
Othmann sat on the bench for the first 15 minutes of the game I went to last season at Hartford. Not sure why exactly, but the rest of the game he was up & down with his effort. He needs a good kick in the ass to get him engaged full time. I didn't watch the whole game last night, but I still think Edstrom is making the team especially now that Vesey is out for a few weeks.
Sod16
I've seem a lot of lame preseason games but never one with a grand total of one NHL player combined on the squads. There are some teams in some situations that would offer at least a partial refund to their season holders.
